Misty ....
12th October 2025 (Sunday) 09.45 .... I got 'up' early this morning, ready to hit the road
running; but that rapidly changed when I went outside, and discovered it was misty, damp and cold. It's actually a quiet morning with only a light breeze, but,.... until the sun breaks through, and the temperature rises, I'm confined to the house. Or maybe the car. I've done some 'ooverin' and dustin', and will strip the single bed after morning coffee. I need a good drying day before doing ; and that ain't today.Ferry Road has been busy with traffic, but I doubt if it's families making for the beach! I don't think I'll do down to the harbour today!
20.30 We ended up with a nice day in between the early morning fog, and the late afternoon, when the fog rolled in again. With the fog being thick in the morning I decided to go to the Store to do some shopping. The sky was brightening up as I ravelled Eastward and, by the time I reached Ainster the sun had broken through. The Store was quieter than I expected and I enjoyed a slow browse up and down the aisles.
Normally I come home from The Store via the Kellie Castle road but I though it might be too foggy that way, so came home by the main road.
Elie and Earlsferry were still blanketed in fog when I got home, but it was thinning rapidly, and soon cleared away to give us the nice day between the foggy bits.
21.30 We are to have a week of quiet, and dry, weather. That means I'll have to get the watering cans out again. The exercise is good for me. I think this cold (or whatever it is) is beginning to get get 'better'. I felt playful when I got up this morning. Mind you that soon wore off.
All eyes are on the Middle East just now, waiting for the hostages being released: I pray that commonsense will prevail and 'Peace' come to the Middle East. For that to happen something will have to be done about the different, well armed, terrorist groups.
