Lovely morning ....
30th October 2025 (Thursday) 09.00 ....We have a quiet, sunny morning after a cold night:
the patio thermometer overnight low was 1.4C (it's now 4.1C and slowly climbing). Although the temperature is low, there's no wind chill with only a light SE breeze so it doesn't feel as cold as it has been lately with wind chill. I'm getting ready to go to the Skeith Centre, then 'the Store' on the way home. The wind is going to freshen in the afternoon, and bring light rain from the North sea.13.45 Both missions to Anstruther were a complete success; especially the visit to 'The Store' where I bought a couple o' goodies. 'The Boy' is definitely on the mend. On the way home by way of the Kellie Castle road, I stopped in a lay by (we could do with more of them) to take some photies of a long skinny cloud. The cloud photie isn't the most exciting to look at, but it's a'different' cloud; so I'm happy. The doocot is at West Pitkierie Farm.
The sky is clouding over, blocking out the sun, so it's colder now, but not yet windy. I need a cuppa after a hectic morning.
19.00 We have a wet and windy night ahead; and it's cold. However the rain should clear away tomorrow morning to leave us with sunny spells and heavy showers.
This has been a good day for me,,,, albeit a tiring one. Mind you I had a few cat naps in the afternoon. I bought more Lemsips today and will have one of them at bedtime; and tomorrow will be a another 'rest day. I've been almost 'self isolating' for the past few weeks, but feel almost ready to risk going out and 'play' again.
President Trump must have forgotten about the Nobel Peace prize; he has decided that the USA shouldbegin nuclear testing again! When you think about it, he's the classic example of a playground bully; unfortunately his 'playground' now, is Planet Earth.
22.30 I've been watching the News. Are we witnessing the beginning of the end of the Royal Family? It's going to take a long time for the Royal Family to recover from this. I have no doubt that the Inner Royal Circle will will work hard to try and salvage some kind of 'Royal Family ' for the UK.
The alternative to a 'Royal Family' is a President. Theoretically that would be more 'democratic' but I can't think of a politician that I'd like as 'President' of the UK... the President's of countries around the World aren't exactly good examples of what I'd expect a President to be!.
