Overcast and chilly .....

23rd October 2025 (Thursday)     09.30 .... We have a grey start to the morning.... with a chilly

wind from the NNW;  a 'stay in and stay warm morning.   'Sunny intervals are mentioned in today's weather forecast so it should be brighter by midday.   'The pedals' will be my exercise today:  at least until the sunny intervals arrive;  when I might venture out for a short walk.   I have a nice warm job to do just now;  ironing a duvet cover and pillow cases.

19.30    Although chilly and overcast  most of the, we ended up with a nice enough afternoon and evening.   In fact the evening was actually the best part of the day as far as the weather went.

I had a busy morning, washing two single bed sheets and a few dish towels.   I spent a bit of time looking for one of the sheets;  one that I thought was ready to fit on the bed!   I eventually found it on the bed.    There were  two bottom sheets (the ones wi' the elastic corners that I don't like) on the bed!   I son't know how I managed to do that but they both had to be washed this morning.

It didn't look the nicest of days for doing a washing;  but any showers  that were around missed us, so all was well.    The sheets have been ironed (that's another job I don't like ;  ironing and folding up bottom sheets).   One of them will be on the bed tomorrow morning.

The temperature on the patio only got up to 9.8C today;  the coldest day on the patio ....so far.

In the afternoon I decided to have a run round the Ferry in the car to see what was happening.   It turned out that there wasn't much happening;  in fact I don't remember seeing anyone out at all.   Strangely enough it was actually nice at the time;  the sun was going down, and there was hardly any wind.   I stopped on Links Road to get a few photos, and that was my 'excitement' for today.   Apart from the work I'd done in the morning!

I'm going to make a fresh cuppa and look for something to watch on the tele.   I'll get 'the pedals' out

and have 10 minutes hard (maybe not hard) exercise, while having the cuppa and (hopefully) enjoying something interesting on the tele.

22.30    'Landward' was interesting (it always is);  Ardross Farm was one of the places visited.   Brilliant.
