Cloudy and breezy ....

 9th October 2025 (Thursday)  .....  Gaza Peace deal.

12.00    This morning's 'News' has pictures of the Israelis  celebrating in the streets of

Israel;  and Palestinians  celebrating in Gaza this morning.   Sadly the Palestinians don't actually have streets to dance in. but they are making the best of what they've got!   In other words, both Israelis and Palestinians are celebrating the' Peace Deal', that was thrashed out in Egypt last night.   I hope it leads to  permanent Peace in the Middle East;  and, in a decent World, the poison of hatred, spread by evil doers in the background, consigned to history..  

It's a breezy morning, with a lot of clouds about, but the clouds are forecast to move away to be replaced with sunshine.  
I have been reasonably busy, with a washing on the line.   I had been thinking of taking 'The Buggy' out but the wind is making the air feel cold  so I'b better postpone that idea.   I might do some 'ousework.

19.00   Apart from washing and some 'ousework I've had a lazy day.    I phoned the garage and the was waiting for the delivery of the tyre, so I should get it back tomorrow.   Irene brought me milk from Leven;  I'd been using JB's lactose free milk this morning, and was glad to have a cuppa with some good old lactose in it.   oops ... I've just remembered that the washing is still on the line!   I'll put the kettle  on then, then bring in the washing.

22.15   This could be the first step towards 'Peace' in the Middle East ..... if politicians are brave enough to  seize the chance now on offer.   Today's photographs are courtesy of  the BBC News Channel (231).   
We live on a beautiful plane;  if only we could get rid of guns.... and politicians think 'peace' not 'war' Mother Earth could really be Utopia'

Quiet morning ....

7th May 2025 (Wednesday)    08.15 .... "Sunny intervals with a light breeze" is today's weather forecast for.... KY9, Ellon, Uckfield (Sussex) and London:  it's going to be a bonnie day all over the UK.  The breeze is from the Easterly direction so the East coast will be cooler; but it will be warm sheltered from the breeze.   It's a nice, peaceful kind of morning at Elie and Earlsferry:  the sky is a mix of fluffy clouds and blue bits, and the temperature is 11.6C just now.   3.3C was the minimum overnight.  20.30     I'd been reading about the cyber attack on M & S, Harrods and the Co-op... so, feeling inquisitive, for my morning 'mission' I decided to go to The Store (Ainster) and see how the 'attack' was affecting our local 'Store'.   The first thing I noticed was the car park wasn't as busy as normal and all the Disabled spaces were empty.  Inside the store,  the empty vegetable and fruit...

The morning after 'Storm Eowyn' ....

25th  January 2025 (Saturday)     08.30 .....  Well .... that was one frisky wind yesterday Candlelight evening....Unfortunately not a romantic one! afternoon;   from 14.30 to 17.30 it was absolutely ferocious.    And I got some damage at Ivy Cottage;  a ridge tile blew off, slid down the roof and broke the rhone (guttering I thinks it's called now) so that will have to be repaired.  A Red Warning of wind means damage and that's what we have;  not only at Ivy but at other places around Elie and Earlsferry.... and over the whole area of the red Warning.   I only hope no one was injured by stuff being blown around in the wind.    It's the worst wind I have ever experienced in Earlsferry.   I have never felt so useless .... and helpless.    My neighbour Mathew came round to see if I was OK.... which I really appreciated;  I enjoyed talking to him.... it calmed me down a bit.  ...

Overcast and damp ....

27th December 2024 (Friday)     09.15 ..... from the look of the sky, the place to catch 'sunny spells' is the Borders.   We have another grey and damp morning.   However, the sky is slightly more promising looking than it was yesterday, and sunny spells might drift our way in the afternoon.   If sunny spells do come our way, I might drift down to the beach.    Right now, after a long and good nights sleep, I am well ready for breakfast!   I'm going to grab the 'Radio Times' from Gromit, and see if there's anything worth watching on the TV today! 11.45    I've been up to the baker then home by way of Balbuthie and Kinneuchar.   The sky was mostly overcast at the time, but is beginning to break up now;  so we should get sunny breaks in the afternoon.   I was surprised to find the villages quiet;  with only a few holiday makers wandering around.    21.30     W...
