21st February 2025 (Friday) 09.30 .... the sky is overcast and we have a frisky wind from
SSW; I expected it to be warmer this morning but it's quite cold in the fresh wind. Disappointing really: I was looking forward to the warm spell that was forecast. It might be warmer in the afternoon; however the wind is going to freshen (F6 -7) so it will still feel cold.... and I won't be going out on the bike! "Strong winds with rain" is the forecast. There was a Yellow warning for rain today, but it has now been moved to Sunday.11.45 The air is warmer (unfortunately also wetter) so I'm hoping to go for a short walk, probably the High Street before lunch. Once the rain drifts away, which it looks like it is doing at the moment. I wouldn't say that I feel like a frisky Spring lamb; more like a lamb chop about to go into the frying pan. Anyway the sky appears to be slightly brighter; if the rain does move away I shall sally forth, after I finish my morrrrrrrrning coffee.
21.45 I enjoyed a walk to the beach after my morning coffee; it was a bit breezy and spits and spots of rain were bowing in the wind. Not enough to stop me taking photo graphs though! With all the clouds about we had an interesting sky, and although breezy it was fairly warm. I even dried off a bit of Jenny and John's seat and enjoyed the scene. Even on a day like today it was lovely. And a few people were walking the beach, so I wasn't the only one enjoying the scenery and fresh air. Of which there was a lot!
Tomorrow is going to be a rest day; I'm going to visit Alice. It's going to be a bonnie day and a good drying day so I'll hang out a washing before I go. There's a Yellow Warning for wind tomorrow that includes Fife.... and there's no mention of precipitation! A perfect drying day!
I'm having an early night in bed; walking to the beach nowadays is tiring! I'll be glad when I can go
out on the bike! Anyway It's Horlicks time, while I watch the News.
