Nice morrrrrrrrning ....
17th February 2025 (Monday) 09.15 .... It's a lovely morning, albeit with cold breeze from the
ESE. 'Light cloud with a moderate breeze' is the forecast.... and that is what we have. It's lovely day for walking; or biking if it was warmer! Actually, I'm feeling almost 'bright eyed and bushy tailed'this morning: however it's too cold for me going out to play. Off to have breakfast then get myself intae gear.19.00 I went to Leven as planned, bought the stuff I wanted, then went to visit Alice. The lovely morning we had, was changing from a dry air to a damp, and very chilly, one by this time; and it was 11.10 by the time I was sitting with a hot cuppa and 'goodie' . Alice's diet allows a goodie now and again. By the time we'd caught up with each others 'news' Alice was organising lunch. Home made 'Pulled pork'; and, my word, that was tasty. Meanwhile the weather had changed completely; we had like flurries of snow passing over.... and it was bitterly cold. We had a cup o' coffee before I made my way home. The earlier snow flurries had passed over; and Alice was looking for 'sunny spells'.
The journey home was as normal nowadays; lots of vehicles travelling in both directions. I go with the flow and the car in front was flowing at around 30 mph. And so was I with another half dozen cars behind me. That said it was a relaxing speed. I arrived home and moored the car up, unloaded the 'stuff', put the kettle and TV 'on'. I was sound asleep 20 minutes later.
I woke up fully refreshed and ready to go out to play. I had an afternoon coffee then decided I'd have a stroll to the beach. Well, that idea was rapidly put back on the shelf: the air was raw cold so I only went as far as the Ferry High street, ..... and not very far along it I might add! Anyway I got enough photos to give me something to do in the evening.
Spits and spots o' rain started the hit the patio slabs just after 17.00, so I changed into my 'loungers' and settled down for a quiet evening in front of the tele, the computer ... and the kettle switch!
22.30 I'm going to make tomorrow a 'housework day'. The weather is going to be cold and damp so I
have to stay in anyway. The urge to draw has come on so I'll set up a board with drawing paper and might make a start on one I have in mind. That way I can jump from 'ousework to drawing when ever the mood takes me.The traffic lights on Ferry Road wen 'off' a couple of days ago. I half expected the bloke to come today and put on a new battery. Not that it's vital, because the traffic seems to be coping fine without the actual lights. Mind you I like them; they elevate Ferry Road into the ranks of being important enough to need traffic lights. Like Princes Street etc!
