Cloudy and cold .....

9th February 2025 (Sunday)    09.30 .... All the Fife Weather cams are showing an overcast sky,

of varying intensity, so there's the odd chance we might get some brighter bits later.   But it's not the sky that's the most notable feature of the weather this morning;  it's the bitter ENE breeze.   And I have only been as far as the gate!In fact that might be as far as I'll ever be today;  I'll take the 'hurdy gurdy' for a few turns round the patio, because it's sheltered from the wind.

20.00    The afternoon weather has been of the cold and wet kind;   not  pleasant  at all.   At least the morning, though grey and cold, was dry.

I decided, over morrrrning coffee, to go to Colinsburgh and get a few progress photographs of 'The Paddock's' housing development, for the Alberto Archive.    It wasn't the best kind of day but it would bet me "oot o' the hoose", and give me something to do other than 'pottering with ousework.   And the main road would be quiet as would be the site.

Colinsburgh from the East.
When I got to Colinsburgh everything was as I thought it would be (both road and site quiet), and, though still overcast it was dry.   There was plenty parking, and everyone must have been staying in and warm, because the only things moving were vehicles on the main road.   At that time I seemed to be the liveliest person in Colinsburgh.   I felt good!   I wandered along, almost  to the South Lodge  (Balcarres), and back to the Show House at the entrance to the housing estate;  that's when it began to drizzle so I had to abandon before I wandered down the 'New Street'.   I could have wandered down, but there was barricaded off just a short way in so I didn't bother.   There will be other weekends.... and bonnier ones!

I had the rugby to watch in the afternoon, which was a good thing as the weather had deteriorated and

Show-house.
was just plain miserable.   The rugby was 'interesting'  and the score disappointing!

22.15     Funnily enough, in spite of the miserable weather I have actually enjoyed today.   That said I'd have enjoyed it more on a sunny day with a West wind!    It's bedtime and I have a book to read!   In fact I have a few books, that I got at Christmas, to read!
