Overcast and damp ....
18th February 2025 (Tuesday) 09.15 .... The auld bones were not in the mood to move this
morning! However I eventually hauled them oot o' the bed, and they clicked into a (roughly) human shape, and we are ready to go. I don't know where we're going, because it is not the kind of morning to get excited aboot going out; however breakfast would be a good way to start . I've already had a cuppa to get into gear; 'hey ho' let the Alberto day begin!

Although the weather is grey and bleak looking just now, it is forecast to brighten up and we can expect a few "sunny spells'.
13.45 At long last the barometer pointer has moved.... the first time in five weeks or more. It (the pointer) has only moved about one tenth on an inch but it's in the right direction. I think we should begin to notice a change tomorrow. That said the weather that's coming in, from the Atlantic, will be not only be warmer, but also windier and unsettled with spells of rain. Strangely enough healthier weather that what we've had for the past few weeks.
I haven't been anywhere today; but have been doing housework ..... now and again. The plan is to go for a short walk when the 'sunny spells' arrive.
16.45 The 'sunny spells' never really got going but I wrapped up and went for a short walk anyway; and hardly noticed the cold air. Most of the activity I saw was workmen doing various building site jobs; and the men on the golf course by the third green.
20.30 I've just seen the weather forecast for the next few days; it's going to be much warmer, windier and wetter by the end of the week The only changes being the wind direction and the temperature!
22.30 I must remember that Myra and I are going to the Colinsburgh Friendship Lunch in my car. Myra can't drive just now because she has had a cataract done. I'm looking forward to seeing all the Colinsburgh folk again.
The barometer is slowly going back as the Atlantic lows creep nearer. The air should be healthier, even though the weather is unsettled.
I've been thinking more about our Planet Earth being the only planet with life on it in the whole Universe. That would make Earth literally the life support system for all life in the Universe!! We don't know if that is the case, but, if it is, it needs a seismic shift in the way the politicians think. Instead of planning on how to become the dominating political system so that we can pillage the Earth for our own short term gain: politicians, scientists, academics, land owners, business owners .... all of us, should be thinking about, andworking together to protect the Life Support System that Mother Earth might be. When you really think about it it is frightening just how much responsibility that puts on the us as custodians of 'life' in the Universe. Instead of concentrating on protecting the Life Support System that Earth might be, what are our politicians doing?.... exactly what I said earlier! Trying to become the dominant political system that pillages the planet for short term gain!
