Brighter and breezier ....

19th February 2025 (Wednesday)    09.15 .... The Fife Weather cams are all showing a more

promising broken sky this morning;  and, although the moderate breeze is still from the SE it is a drier wind .... and healthier.   That said it's still a bitterly cold wind, though that should change later in the afternoon.    At the moment we have a cold, brighter and breezier morning, with the chance of light showers.

22.00   It has been a much bonnier day;  sunshine makes all the difference.  Having said that, it wasn't as warm as I'd hoped it would be, but, according to Sean, it should be much warmer tomorrow and for the next few days.   It's also to be windier with spells of wet weather.   But the air will be healthier.

As planned Myra and I went to the Colinsburgh Friendship Lunch!    The usual crowd (24) were there:  I was at a table with six girls.   A mix of Kinneuchar, Colinsburgh Elie and Earlsferry girls so I caught up with a lot of news from around all the villages.   Lexie was using a sling for her arm, because she had fallen and badly bruised a shoulder.   Everybody seemed in good shape;  with loads of chattering going on at the tables.   A very friendly and happy Friendship Lunch!

Elie Estate....Courtyard Road.

On the way home from lunch we  (Myra and me) visited George (Harvey).    George was looking well and, although he has to use a wheel chair now, seemed 'happy'.   Mike (I forget his surname) was there so we all had a good old natter.   Once I get going on the bike I'll drop in on George more often. That reminds me I must phone George (Gordon) and find out if he is up for a visit sometime.   The last time I phoned he had someone in.

I was hoping that, if it was as warm as forecast, I might get out on the bike tomorrow, but the weather, though warm,
is also likely to be windy and wet.
