Lovely, quiet morrrrrrrning ....

19th October 2024 (Saturday)    08.30 .... The rain has moved South, heading for 'JB' territory;

Mammatus clouds - Friday evening.
leaving us with a bright and sunny day .... once the sun is higher.  I'm feeling brighter too, having shaken off the cold I had.   This morning I'm going to Methil to catch up with Alice, who has been busy hanging new curtains and stuff... and I'll do a spot of top up shopping in Leven.  The Scoonie roundabout roadworks should be clear.

20.00   All is good along at Methil!   Alice's new curtains look great, and she has enough spare material to make a table cloth.   Alice is a happy girl.
After a cuppa and 'news' catch up, we went to Sainsbury's and bought some vital necessities before bumbling back to Alice's HQ.
Alice lives in a quiet cul de sac and it was really quiet today.   A couple of joiners working in the empty house across the way provided the only entertainment.   Actually it was a short morning because I was later in travelling;  so it wasn't long before we were sitting down to lunch.... a very tasty and enjoyable lunch I might add, chicken with all the trimmings, followed by apple a raspberry crumble.  After a cup o' coffee I was on my way back to Ivy, dropping Alice off near the Beach Care Home, where she was going to visit her friend Marilyn....(Marilyn used to live in the empty house mentioned above).... and made my way back to Ivy.   On the way into Upper Largo I'm sure I saw a notice board saying there would be roadworks beginning there on the 21st (Monday).

Back in 'The Royal Burgh' I put the kettle on then sorted out the messages before settling down to have my afternoon catnap.   I woke up feeling refreshed and worked on the computer for a while.   I've just seen the weather forecast for tomorrow and it looks like I will be working on the computer or drawing:  it's going to be windy with rain.   There's a Yellow warning out for wind that covers Fife, so it will be windy... "strong winds and heavy rain" is the forecast.

22.30    It's a bonnie moonlit night with hardly a breath of wind;  and not cold.  I was out at the bucket.  A lot of the holiday cars seem to have gone;  I thought they'd be here until tomorrow.   Mind you the forecast is not good or travelling tomorrow, and  they decided to travel early.    I took some photos of the moon... it was 'Full' two days ago and is now a 'waning gibbous moon 92% illuminated.   At the moment you wouldn't think that is going to be wild and wet tomorrow.

After I go for the paper, tomorrow will be another 'stay in and stay warm' day for me.   I don't like
Tonight's moon.
strong wind combined with heavy rain, but I have much I to do on the computer.... and my drawing to finish.  And the kettle will be 'on' a lot of the time! ... so, hopefully, the weather won't bother me.
