Beautiful morrrrrrrning .....

'Glenfuir' - Ferry Wynd.

29th October 2024 (Tuesday)     08.00 .... We have a bonnie morning, and I am feeling in a 'working' mood.   There's a washing going through the machine just now; and we have a good drying day ahead (two in fact because tomorrow is also going to be a good drying day).   I'm a busy 'happy boy' this morning.   It being a nice, peaceful morning I'm going to have a walk to the beach, after breakfast.

20.00    I was asking the painter who is working next door, about John Syme, a painter that I worked with at Rolland Decorators (Elie).   That was a few years ago.   Anyway John is retired,  as I expected he would be, and enjoying retirement in St Andrews where he has lived for the past, oh it must be nearly 40 years now.   It has been a lovely day for painting!... and dry washing.   The thing I least like washing is the downie cover.   Actually washing it is easy;  it's ironing and folding it that's hard.   That and putting the downie in it!    Anyway it has been ironed and folded up and is now hanging in front of the bedroom radiator.   I'll make the bed up tomorrow.

'Williamsburgh'.

I took time out and had my short walk to the beach;  I wanted to get a photo of the flags flying on the 'Glenfuir' flagpole.  It was a perfect wind for that... as you can see from the photograph.   I then had relaxing rest on Nana's Seat.   The villages must still be busy because a lot of people were out enjoying the lovely weather.   It was warm sitting on Nana's seat, but apart from the folks out walking there was no other activity.  I couldn't see a single vessel on the Firth.

I eventually wandered home by way of Siward Lane and Ferry Corner.

22.30   We had a red sky sunset so we can look forward a nice day tomorrow.;  "sunny intervals with a gentle breeze" is the forecast.   I have the double bed to make up.... and some house work to do.   I'll  visit Shona (Kinneuchar) in the early part of the afternoon;  assuming that I've not overdone the work thing.
