Overcast and damp ....

20th February 2026 (Friday)      09.45 .... It's a grey and damp morning, but in should be

brighter in the afternoon.   The Fife Weather cams are all showing an overcast sky with a bright Southwest, so that should come our way eventually.    I'm trying to get myself into some kind of 'work' mood, but     I can't even get into 'Flap On' mode!   I'll have an early coffee, and a goodie, after this update.

13.45    The sky brightened up, to give us a few sunny spells;  so I had a run round the villages in the car, stopping at The Toft and harbour to get a few 'today' photies.    The villages are busy with holiday makers, but they are mostly heavily wrapped up holiday makers.... because it isn't as warm yet,  as it is forecast to be this weekend.

I'd say that progress with Iain's bed, is slow and steady;  when I'm actually doing it.   That hasn't been very often so far today.   And, it's now it's siesta time!    It's good job he's going to the Dentist (Aberdeen) on the way down.

17.15   Iain has a bed;  he arrived early and that was the first place he went... to make up his bed.   Since then we've had a couple o'cuppas and a good old catch up.   And Iain has just set up his laptop in his bedroom so all is good at Ivy now.  No it isn't;  I've got an itchy lug;  I'll have to take the hearing aid out to give the lug a 'poke'with a tissue.

21.45    The weather has been reasonable today.... and the villages busy.   Iain and I have not made a 'plan' for tomorrow,   The weather is going to be much the same as today.... but much milder, with the chance of light rain now and again.

I'm wondering why I feel so tired tonight;  then I realised that I didn't have my afternoon siesta.  I should sleep well tonight.    We watched President Trump talking to news reporters after the Supreme Court of America said that the tariffs he has imposed are illegal!    He is not a happy President.

For some reason I don't think Andrew Mountbatten Windsor is a 'happy bunny', going by the
photograph of him leaving Aylsham Police Station last night.   The last time I saw eyeballs like that, they were attached to a rabbit, in the headlights of the car.
I put the kettle on a while ago;  that means it must now be time to make our bedtime cuppa.

Today's photies:   All three taken from The Toft this morning.

Top - Ponies on the beach;  that must be a sign that Spring isn't far away.
