Nice morning ....
21st February 2026 (Saturday) 10.00 .... We have a lightly clouded sky, with blue patched, so
there's chance of 'sunny spells' (and light showers) now and again; and it's warmer than it has been lately. This could be a good 'play day'. Iain is off with his camera to see if he can get a few photographs of insects on the dunes and beach. I'm going to make a mug o' early 'morning coffee'.14.30 Iain ... oops ... Boris had a walk along the beach and got a few photographs to 'play' with, including a few of the damaged sea wall at Chapel green House. While he was doing that I spent most of the morning sleeping in front of the TV: I have been feeling lethargic, but don't think I'm coming down with 'a bug'; however, I do have a cough.
The Rugby is on later in the afternoon; England and Ireland are playing Ireland at Twickenham; with Wales v Scotland later in Cardiff. We also have the Men's Curling Final in the early evening. No wonder I'm feeling lethargic with all this sport to watch!
Meanwhile, the 'News' is divided, more or less equally, between the former Prince Andrew; now, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor,....and the the actions of the President of the USA. The World is in sad state and I worry about what our Great Grandchildren are going to inherit. At the moment most politicians are not thinking 'Peace'; they are too busy re-arming, and making ready for WW III.
Ferry Road has been busy with traffic today; both vehicular and human. I thought it was going to be warmer this afternoon, but most of the folk walking down Ferry Road are well wrapped up. I'd thought of taking 'The Bike' out to charge up the battery, but will leave that until tomorrow, by which time I should be feeling, 'bright eyed and bushy tailed'; and the light rain, mentioned in the weather forecast, will have passed by.
21.15 We've had a busy day; watching the Six Nations rugby, then the curling in the evening. Sadly
the GB Team didn't get the Olympic Gold Medal. It was a closely fought match, and we were hoping the Men's Team would win he Gold because they haven't won it since 1924! However they did well winning the Silver.... and they might get the Gold in 2030. Oh Scotland beat Wales so that was something to celebrate.Today's photies, of the damaged sea wall at Chapel Green House. were taken by ... Boris.
Boris? I'll take a photo tomorrow and put it on 'The Hutte'. If he is happy to do that!
