Peaceful morrrrrrrrnng ....
4th December 2024 (Wednesday) 09.00 .... It's a lovely morning, but chilly.... with the chance
of ice on the pavements. In fact there's a Yellow warning for ice, that's active until 10.00 and I noticed that the air felt frosty when I was out feeding 'Blob'. I'll stay in until the sun is high in the sky, and the temperature has gone up to around 9C. It's forecast to turn milder, with the chance of light rain, later in the afternoon.11.45 I've been slothful this morning (i.e. slow moving, not hanging upside down from a tree branch); I can't get really going this morning. The work I did in the big bedroom must have caught up, so this is going to be mostly a rest day. That said, I have done some 'ousework, having stripped the single bed.... so not entirely lazy! And now I'm thinking of taking a wander up to the golf course, to admire the work going on near the phone box, which has brought us the temporary traffic lights. A quick cuppa then a short daunder before lunch is the 'plan'.
19.30 I had my short daunder up to the phone box; took a few photos then scampered back to Ivy. It wisnae much o' a scamper, because this has not been a good day for scampering. Not a good day for me being out at all. The weather deteriorated after lunch time and we eventually ended up with the rain that was forecast. I wouldn't have called it light rain, but, whatever kind it was, it's not raining now, at least it wasn't when I was out at the car half an hour ago.
With being slightly under the weather I did some work on the computer and watched an interesting programme with Tony Robinson going round and talking about the history of Canterbury Cathedral, in the afternoon. I didn't fall asleep; in fact I haven't had a nap all day! I must be under the weather right enough.
The next time I feel mair active, and the weather brighter, I'll have a walk up to see the progress at the third tee area.
22.30 Tonight's episode of 'Shetland' was exciting; and I'm starting to get used to Tosh as a Detective Sergeant!
It's raining again... and heavy by the way it's running down the road. It's supposed to move away and be fair by morning time. I might go to Leven to make an appointment for a hearing test at Specsavers tomorrow morning; it depends on how I feel and how the weather is.
