Breezy ....
21st December 2024 (Saturday) 09.00 .... we have a frisky old wind this Winter Solstice
morning, and it is not warm. But it isn't raining. This is Christmas getaway weekend and the roads will be busy. I'm going to Leven and Methil, and will be able to tell you about the traffic on the main road into the East Neuk. You will be looking forward to that. Must have another cuppa.21.00 It has been a bonnie but windy day; and cold because of the wind. We had some spits and spots of rain blowing through at times, but it was really the wind that spoilt a nice day for this time of year. I went to Methil to see how Alice and her pals were getting on. I didn't do any shopping because Karen (Alice's daughter), said that the queues at the checkouts were long and slow moving. Anyway Alice and pals are all well.... and organised for Christmas.
As expected the roads were busy, but on the way home, most of the traffic was coming from the East Neuk; I imagine they were going to the shops. Alice and Karen were going to Lidl's so I dropped Alice off there on the way home. All the 'Disabled' parking spaces were occupied, or I might have joined the girls and done my bit of shopping with them. Normal parking spaces are no use to me nowadays; I can't get the car door open wide enough to get out when between other cars.
Back at Ivy I decided to have a cuppa, then go to the Store and do a shopping. I though it might it be quiet at lunch time. And it was! The road was busier. I had a sandwich lunch when I got back home, then settled down to watch Wallace and Gromit in "The Curse of the WereRabbit". Brilliant. Since then I have done very little, so I'll be in 'Flap on' mode tomorrow. It was too windy and cold, for me to go out with the camera today. Both today's photographs were taken in Barnyards yesterday.
