Bonnie morning ....
18th December 2024 (Wednesday 08.45 .... It's breezy this morning, but dry.... and there's
an interesting sky, that's promising some bonnie clouds. 'Strong winds with sunny intervals' is the forecast. The strong wind will moderate in the afternoon; a bonnier day ahead. Mind you it wouldn't take much to be bonnier than yesterday was! That was one miserable spell of weather. After a good night's sleep I'm feeling almost playful. I could cope wi' an exciting game of Ludo this morning! Can you still get Ludo and Snakes and Ladders in the shops? I imagine there's an electronic version, that involves gambling, shooting and killing.
Old fashioned Ludo, and Snakes and Ladders can be bought, in shops and online; and, as far as I can make out, neither has reached the gambling, shooting and killing, electronic stage. Imagine me being so cynical as think that could happen!
19.00 The wind was a bit friskier than expected, but apart from that, it has been a beautiful day. I have had an enjoyable day posting a parcel that I have been worried about and another few cards. The PO van arrived on time (12.00). Even the kirk clock was at the right time and it stopped yonks ago. After I'd finished with the Mobile Post Office I hand delivered a few Christmas cards. I was worried about the wind, but I was well wrapped up, and my throat feels none the worse from being out!
22.30 Tomorrow is going to be a goo drying day so I'll get the single bed sheets done; I have spare sheets to make up the bed, but I'll leave that for another day as I intend delivering some more cards tomorrow. This is the time of year I visit different corners of the villages, hence todays 'different' photographs.
It's a bonnie night, but it feels like it could be cooler tomorrow. Saturday is going to be windy ...., asin very windy; in fact there's Yellow warning that covers Fife for the whole of the day. Sunday is also going to be windy, but less so that Saturday.
I'm going to wash the sheets tonight so that they are ready to go out first thing. Slight 'Flap On' now.
