Breezy and wet .....

7th December 2024 (Saturday)    08.30 .... It's not a "walk the beach with dog" morrrrrrrrrning;

in fact it's not a walk anywhere morrrrning.   I'm vertical, and have been out as far as the pavement;  and quickly decided that I won't going anywhere with the camera;  unless it's in the car.   Which is unlikely.   For me it's going to be a stay in, stay warm and stay hydrated.   The wind should begin to moderate by mid morning ..., from F7  to F5.... and the rain become slightly lighter.   'Sunny spells'?.... we're two or three thousand feet from them!

11.15   The rain has stopped but it's still windy:  and said wind is sookin' up the puddles and drying the road.... and patio.  I'm surprised at how fast the water is lifting;  that said, it is a strong wind. Could we have a few brighter spells later in the afternoon?   Probably not.   The wind is forecast to freshen by evening time, and there's the chance of rain at any time.

I've found the latest Christmas card list, so writing cards (to be posted) will be my mission for today.   I might go for  short daunder if the rain stays away and the wind moderates a wee bit.   The calendars I had printed are coming on Monday.   I'm looking forward to seeing the finished article... and apprehensive at the same time.

20.00    This has been a laz ...er... rest day for me!   I watched Simon Reeves in South America, and didn't fall asleep.   He delves into the history of the countries, and the problems the countries face countries face today ....  that is what I like about Simon Reeves.  I thought about going for a short walk, but the weather was never of the 'enjoyable' kind.  Thankfully Storm Darragh is moving away, and we should have a bonnier, and more peaceful, day tomorrow.   There will still be some wind but not like it has been today, and the rain will have moved away to give us sunny intervals;  it might even be a good drying day!
I'm wondering if the weather will have put back  the calendar delivery date:  they are in the Princess Royal Distribution Centre (London).   The weather has caused disruption all over the road, rail and air, so there might be a backlog.   Anyway it's cuppa time!

21.00    It's 'orlicks time for 'The Boy'... and an early night in bed with my book.  The wind has freshened again, but should begin to moderate in an hour or so, and be much quieter by morning time!   I only got 4 photographs today ..... all 'wet look'  Ferry Road.   Looking forward to a more active day tomorrow;  and I don't mean the weather!
