Nice morning ....

6th December 2024 (Friday)     09.00 .... It's a lively morning, but it's a chilly breeze, so it will

be cold out in the open.    I have a dental appointment in Anstruther, and was looking forward to getting a few photos of the harbour area, but that will be a quick 'snap';  because it will be  windy and cold at Anstruther harbour!    According to the weather forecast we are in for a wild and sometimes wet couple of days.    Not my favourite weather.

20.30    My dental appointment went smoothly;  there's one filling that needs doing but nor until 20th January.  The waiting area (upstairs) was quiet;  one man was reading a book, and the other one had the best looking tattoo's I have seen on his arms:  the face of a lion and another of a tiger.... and one of Gandalf (Lord of the rings Wizard).   The tattoo's were expensive but  they looked really good.   It's what this man spends his extra money on;  I suppose you could call it a hobby.    He (the man with the tattoo's) got called in for his treatment, but another man came to the waiting area.   The other man was still reading his book, and had no interest in conversation.  I ended up talking to the 'new' man;  who ended up with the history of Elie and Earlsferry by the time I got called in.   Yes I enjoyed my trip to the dentist.    Actually that's not 'iggzactly' true;  the car exhaust blew on the way into Anstruther.

On the way home I decided that I'd have a cuppa and phone the garage.   This I did, and Ryan (mechanic) told me to bring it in and he might be able to fix it.    (Spare bits for a Ford Fiesta are readily available).   At the garage (Mercury) Ryan said that he'd get the parts delivered and the job could be done today.   The 'plan' was to deliver me to the coffee shop in Lundin Links, where I could have a 'lite bite' lunch (bacon roll).   It's an ill wind that doesn't blow some good right enough.   Yesterday, when driving down the Lundin Links brae I thought I'd like to walk down that way and take a few photos for the Alberto Archive.  The exhaust blowing gave me that opportunity.   Clever car!
The coffee shop was quiet, with only another three people in.  I enjoyed the bacon roll  and a much needed Flat White coffee, before setting of on, what was going to be a long, and slow, hirple back to the garage.   It took me nearly an hour get to Mercury, but I was happy, because I'd got the photographs I'd thought about the day before.  That said, I think I'll sleep tonight.   Ryan was just on the point of finishing up when I got back so I chatted to Kathryn, Ian and the dogs for about quarter of an hour, paid the bill and quietly drove home.

This has been another eventful day for me (parking ticket yesterday); and  I don't like eventful days so
I'm going to stay 'in residence' tomorrow!... writing Christmas cards.   It's raining just now, and is supposed to rain all night.... and tomorrow morning.   Tomorrow morning could be a morning to have a 'lie in'.
