now, with a chilly northerly breeze, so it's a wrap up well day.  The sun is forecast to break through to give us sunny intervals. This will be a mostly stay in and stay warm day for me, as I am waiting for a delivery;  I'll check the Royal Mail Tracker after this update, to see if they've updated the delivery time.   'Slight Excited State' this morrrrrrrrning;  looking forward to my calendar coming!

10.15   Hmmmmm;  the sun has yet to make an appearance, which is disappointing.   However the calendars are on their way to Leven, so there's a chance they might be delivered this afternoon.   I've hung out a washing (it's cauld  out)and brought in the empty bucket;  I'm now going to have morning coffee and begin writing Christmas cards.   It's a good day for doing that.   Hopefully the sun will break through lure me down to the beach sometime today.

21.00    The sun never made the breakthrough that I'd hoped for, so that was disappointing.  However the calendars were delivered in the middle of the afternoon which made me a 'happy bunny'.     I'll take a few photos tomorrow.   Envelopes were not included in the order (I didn't tick the envelope box), but they are easily bought (and cheaper) locally.   I'm happy with the calendar(s), but will start making next year's one earlier.

After the Postie had been I went for a run in the car and ended up at 'The Store'  (Anstruther) where I bought a few bits and pieces.   Nae goodies 'cos I'm on a diet.   I had the camera with me, but didn't go to the harbour because it was cauld.   When I think aboot it, I haven't taken any photos today.   The ones I have used are from the walk in Lundin Links on Friday.

6th October 2024 (Sunday)    "Happy Golden Wedding Anniversary"  to Brian and Moira". 09.00 .... All the Fife Weather cams are showing overcast skies.   The Anstruther cam looks the bleakest!..... the Lochgelly the least bleak.  The Easterly breeze has brought the weather in from the North Sea.... and  'sunny spells' are not mentioned in the weather forecast, but ... sometimes the sky looks promising!   It's a good day to be inside.  Luckily I, (and all the other guests), are celebrating Brian and Moira's Golden Wedding Anniversary in the Lindsay Room at Kinneuchar Castle. 10.30     It's still raining, but the sky looks promising now and again;  the sun might break though in the afternoon.  I had a walk round the patio in the light rain; very refreshing.    I'm having morrrrrrrrrrrning coffee before I start to get organised for Kinneuchar Castle. 20.30    We had a really pleasant family and f...

Nice morning ....

16th August 2024 (Friday)  08.30 ...It's a lovely morning but a layer of thin cloud is taking the Jackie. edge off the temperature so we have a chilly start to the day;  hopefully the sun will burn off the cloud to give us a sunny and warm(er) day soon.    The Auchnagatt 'troops' are expected to arrive about 10.30:  and I am organised .... and looking forward to seeing Jackie, Hazel, Catriona and Iain in one photograph.... a rare occurrence nowadays!  20.30 .... I got the photograph that I wanted... all four (soon to be five) of the Lawrie Family of 'Backhill of Inkhorn' (Auchnagatt) in one place!   It has been a most enjoyable day.  We had lunch at the very popular Cupar Garden Centre Restaurant (it was busy) followed by a browse round the garden centre:  the 'troops' did proper browsing:  I had quick browse followed by a catnap in the car.   The middle of the afternoon is my siesta time; and especially so after a good l...

Lovely, fresh morning ....

6th August 2024 (Tuesday)    10.30 .... it's a beautiful morning, with a nice fresh breeze.... if only I Aldershot 1958. could go out on the bike!   Anyway... forget dreamin';  today is my appointment with the Consultant, at Queen Margaret Hospital (Dunfermline);.... and I'm hoping to find out what the 'plan' is.   Michael and Janice are out in the car.... shopping.   They should be back in about an hour or so.    I've tidied up the kitchen and will now have a cuppa while watching some of the action from Paris.  22.00    This is more like summer.... in fact I could get to like this weather.      Michael and Janice went up to Cupar in the morning, while I got myself organized  for the Queen Margaret appointment.   Michael and Janice arrived back with lunch, Fisher and Donaldson macaroni pies, with FD's for sweet.   We set off for Dunfermline in plenty of time and arrived with t...
