Bonnie morning ......

3rd December 2024 (Tuesday)    08.45 .... We had a bonnie sunrise (at 08.25), with a light touch

of frost this morning;  and, although cloudy just now, it's forecast to be sunny most of the day..... but also cold.   Not a great drying day, but the washing should be near enough dry by the end of the afternoon.  There's frost on the car windscreen, which I'm hoping the sun will shift, but it will be a while before the sun is high enough to warm the air very much.... at the moment it's -1C.

18.00    This has been an exciting day, with things happening all over the place.   First thing this morning I dangled out the washing!   While I was doing that someone had been setting up temporary traffic lights on Ferry Road.   I don't know what they (the traffic lights) are for, but they add a bit of colour to an evening photograph.  With me being away (Leven and Methil) all day (Leven and Methil) I didn't see any workmen on Ferry Road.... but will find out tomorrow, why we have traffic lights on Ferry Road.

As planned I went to Methil to visit Alice.    After a cuppa, and  sorting out the World's problems yet again, we went to Sainsbury's to get a few bits and pieces.   We were back at Alice HQ in time to have another cuppa before lunch.  Alice made stew with doughballs and cabbage for lunch;  my word, the aroma in the kitchen had me drooling like an auld mutt;  and that was surpassed by the taste.  Very enjoyable it was, as was the dessert!  Nae wrinkles on 'puku' (pet name for my stomach;  it's Maori) tonight.

I'd been wondering about the parking on the drive back home, because I had a fair bit of shopping: but I got 'moored up' right at the gate, so I didn't have to carry the messages any distance.  How far I have to carry messages is the sort of thing I bother about nowadays.   Ye Gods.... I must be getting olde .. er ... more mature right enough.

The messages sto0wed away, more or less the places they ought to be, I made a cuppa and settled down in front of the tele for a nap.   I napped for almost an hour;  and woke up feeling frisky.  I brought in the washing, and discovered that the cold air had a raw feel to it, so I promptly cancelled the thoughts I'd had about going up to the golf course for a daunder.  I had a cappuccino instead, and ironed the washing.... including the sheet.

As you can see from the bottom photo 'Blob' has packed his case and is ready for his Christmas break

up at Auchnagatt.   That's depending on what the weather is like over Christmas.   'Blob' is expecting sunny and calm weather, with clear roads!

Having just been out at the bucket a dew minutes ago, I can tell you that not only is it bitterly cauld....it's raining.
