Lovely morrrrrrrrrrrrning ....
10th December 2024 (Tuesday) 09.00 .... It's a bonnie morning, and there's a good chance of
sunny spells by the look of the sky. There's a touch of frost so it isn't warm; luckily there's only a light breeze so not much wind chill. I might go to the beach in the middle of the day, but it's not going to be very warm if the forecast is right.... a high of 2C. I'll spend most of the day writing Christmas cards.16.30 What a difference to sun makes to how active I am. I went for the paper, and other bits and bobs this morning, then down to the harbour ... in the car. Being in the car, instead of the bike, limits the places I can stop to take a photograph, so today's were taken on my 'normal' Elie, Balbuthie, Kinneuchar paper run. Actually there's was a lovely light at this time of year so I got myself a fair number of photos tae play wi' later. Luckily there was hardly a breath o' wind which is why I went to the harbour.
After the 'paper run' I spent the time writing Christmas cards. That reminds me; I meant to buy stamps when I was in the 'Paper Shop'. I'll get them tomorrow. I took some time out from Christmas card writing, to go up to the 'hole on the wa' at Elie. That's a badly placed cash machine: apart from the fact that it faces south and the glass slopes the wrong way for the sun, and I'm not tall enough now to read the bottom line! I'm 5 foot 11 inches when in bed, but when stood staunin' up, all my bones click into place and suddenly I'm only 5 foot 3 inches. If the cash thingy machine didnae dish oot money, I wouldn't use it! As it is we have a love hate relationship! And, because I got the cash, we were 'in love' when I left! Happy happy 'cash machine ....and me'.
20.00 It has been a lovely day albeit a cold one; and we have a lovely calm night ahead and already there's frost on top of the car. I have it pointing South so that the sun melts and ice on the windscreen in the morning. It's to be sunny with light breeze tomorrow; with the temperature much the same as it was today. I'm going to the History Society Coffee Morning: if it's not too cold I might walk to the Pavilion.
I've done most of the cards that need to be posted, and hope to finish them tomorrow. Oh ... I must remember to buy stamps. Forget the walking to the Pavilion plan; I'll be going in the car....... via the 'paper shop'.
