Cloudy ....

6th November 2025 (Thursday)       09.30 .... It's cloudy this morning, and warm for this time

of year.    There has been rain overnight, so everything is wet.   However the sky has a more promising look than it did at any time yesterday;  we could have 'sunny spells' later.    I'm feeling brighter, and  ready to go to Leven.... just need another cuppa.

16.00    I'd say that we've had a nice day for the time of year.   In the middle of the day the sun was shining at Methil and it was warm.    15.6C  at Ivy Cottage).    I enjoyed my trip to Leven and Methil;  the first time in nearly 5 weeks.    As ever nowadays the roads were busy, with hardly any road works to bother about.  There was one set of temporary traffic lights in, Lower Methil, but I could have missed them had I taken the other road.   Which I did on the way home.

19.15    It was good catching up with Alice and all the 'news' from her neck o' the woods.    She has been bothered with fireworks going off nearby, for the past week near enough.   I thought fireworks were only for official displays.

The journey home was quiet;  but I must admit I don't really enjoy driving now;  there seems to be to many drivers in a hurry;  with awfie wide cars.  The Autumn colours, especially the beech trees, are at their best just now;  I might go out in the car and get a few 'Autumn' photies tomorrow;  I have to go to the Chemist to pick up my prescription, sometime tomorrow.   I meant to pick it up on the way home from Methil, but turned into Ferry Road at Broomlees, instead of going on the Elie.    I was well ready for a cuppa anyway.

Back at Ivy I moored up the car, made the aforementioned cuppa, and watched the'News'.   I had a totally lazy afternoon.

The roses are enjoying this balmy spell of weather;  and being watered near enough every night as is happening just now (think floo'er tubs).

I'm going to make the 'orlicks and look for something to watch on the TV.
