Nice morning ....

1st January 2026 (Thursday)     I'll begin by Wishing all my readers a "Happy and Healthy Year 2026". 11.00   We seemed to have a quiet Hogmanay in Earlsferry;  at least it was from where I was, (in my bed reading a book).  I heard four 'bangs' at midnight' and that was it.   And I didn't hear anyone going down Ferry Road.   That said, I didn't have my hearing aids in, so it might have been noisier.    I went to bed at 23.30 after watching "Auld Lang Syne" - how it took over the World'.   That was a really interesting programme; with Dougie Vipond travelling round the World to find out why 'Auld Lang Syne' is so popular.   I thought the Japaneses Lassies Choir were outstanding;  the worst version? (by a long way) was 'The Lord's Prayer', sung to the tune of Auld Lang Syne,  by Cliff Richard. We have a quiet morning;  there;s a layer of  thin cloud just now, but sunny intervals foreca...
