Sunny ....

12th April 2025 (Saturday)    10.00 .... It's a lovey sunny, with a gentle ENE breeze, with a light

mist and a chilly feel to the early morning air.   The 'plan' is to go up to Chapel Green at 10.30, by that time the air will be warmer.   In the meantime Iain is sorting out 'The Hutte', getting rid of the stuff that I put in there when the workmen were busy in the garden.

22.00   My word ... this has bee a lovely sunny, and warm, day and the villages have been busy with people enjoying the warm sunshine.   And, although the breeze was Easterly it was so light that it was hardly noticed.    Iain and I biked up to Chapel Green, Iain on my old bike ()nae battery) and me on 'sooper bike'.   Iain went of round the Dome Park looking for insects, I sat on Maggie's Seat and got sunburnt!   Elaine came round Chapel Green, walking her daughter's dog (top Photo) and we chatted for a while.   Chapel Green was busy, as was the beach.    A wee while later Keith and Jo came by walking their dogs, so the four of us (Iain had joined me on Maggie's Seat) so we had a four way conversation.

Earlier (at Ivy) we Iain and I, had seen a Green Veined White which was followed, not long after, by an Orange Tip;  obviously butterflies were enjoying the warm sun too!

Iain spent the morning tidying up the shed so that we could put the 'stuff' back that I'd taken out, to put in 'The Hutte', when the workmen were moving the shed.   This was all to do with finding the 'safe place' where the collie dog, solar powered garden lamp was ... well... 'safely stashed'.   I thought it would be in 'The Hutte', but we haven't found it, yet.   As I said .... my 'safe places' are very safe.

Heather, Ray and Alistair came down in the evening:  Alistair made the coffee and we had a  great time talking about... well things local ... and even 'international'!   A brilliant evening.

Tomorrow Iain and I will continue with the tidying up and searching;  and I should end up with The Hutte being habitable again.    And with both chair clear for sitting on!   The weather changed in the evening, and tomorrow is to be windier (W) with sunny intervals.   The stronger wind means it will feel

cooler.   We were just starting to get used to the idea of a longer spell bonnie weather, when it changes.  Right enough April is the month for ... would you believe it;  'April showers!
