Nice morning ....
10th June 2026 (Wednesday) 09.15 .... It's a bright and breezy morning; with the chance
thundery showers in the afternoon. The thunder we had yesterday cleared the air and I have an 'almost frisky' feeling today! Which is handy because I have a fair amount of 'work' to do. I'm wondering if I have any washing to do because this could be a good drying day; if the showers miss us. I'm going to have an early morning coffee, and catch up with the News, before doing anything like 'work'! 'Work' is going to be of the mild kind today!19.30 'Work' of the mild kind? .... I forgot aboot that as soon as I finished the morning coffee. The steps up to The Hutte were becoming overgrown with Lily of The Valley, and other green things with bonnie flo'ers.
Having looked at the weather forecast I decided to tidy up the steps. in the morning, because there's a good chance of showers in the afternoon; and proper rain tomorrow. I couldn't leave the steps in an overgrown state; getting to the Hutte without my legs getting wet, (if it had been raining), was impossible. I actually surprised myself, and got that job done fairly quickly, before lunchtime. In the afternoon I did some 'work' in the bedroom; then decided to take 'time out' and do a couple of Soduko's in The Hutte.
The weather forecast was right re showers in the afternoon. We had a couple of short, thundery showers; the second, and heaviest one came with hail. I didn't hear any thunder, but it was definitely a thundery shower.
I thought about going out with the camera in the evening, but it was spitting rain when I did go out; to that idea was rapidly shelved.
It's hard to believe what is happening in our country nowadays. The attempted murder of an innocent man, by an asylum seeker from Sudan, was certain to make people angry! Thankfully passers by intervened to prevent an actual murder: until the Police quickly arrived on the scene to arrest the attacker!
In the evening, a mindless assembly of trouble makers arrived; setting fire to innocent peoples houses, (from which families had to be rescued), and cars; what was that as supposed to achieve? It only made matters worse.
It will take brave politicians, and lawmakers to bring the immigration problem(s) under control. But that is what will have to be done. Any mistakes, made by today's politicians, and lawmakers, are problems that future generations will have to solve!
I believe that our politicians and lawmakers are tough enough, and brave enough, to sort it out. But .... I'm a sad boy tonight! I enjoyed my 'good old days'!
