Nice morning ....

23rd June 2026 (Tuesday)     10.00 .... It's sunny, and warm, with shower clouds bumbling over ona moderate Westerly breeze.    So there is the chance of light showers to cool things down;  and water the flower tubs.    I'm going to hang out a washing, hoping that any showers there may be, are somewhere else!

It was hot in bed last night;  but, Michael bought me a 'fan' thing, that cools the air, even at the lowest setting (Status 32" Tower Fan);  so no problem sleeping.   The worst time will be in the middle of the day; I'll stay inside, drink copious amounts of water/tea... and maybe even do some light 'ousework.

16.00    It's cosy out;   28C on the patio.   It's a sun trap so not quite as hot as that out in the open.   The washing I hung out has dried and I've hung out another couple of towels.   If the weather is like this tomorrow I'll do the bedding!   I've been drinking plenty water, but right now I'm going to have a cuppa!

22.15     It was hot last night, but it's going to be much hotter tonight;  I had a  look at the patio thermometer when I went out to bring in the washing, and the thermometer was at 20C.   A cosy night ahead!

I've had a busy day doing the washing, and tomorrow should see all the 'holiday' washing done!    the sheets have been washed, ready to go out first thing in the morning:  in fact I was toying with hanging them out tonight.

Tomorrow is going to be another sunny and hot day, and therefore a good drying day!   That means I'm active until around about midday, then lie low in Ivy during the heat of the day;  becoming active about 16.00.   Global warming seems to be  happening faster than expected.    If that is the case, what is it going to be like at the end of this century?

My 'plan' for tomorrow is simple;  hang out the washing, go up to Elie (in the car), get a paper, and

maybe even have a run own to the harbour., if I'm on the move early enough.

Today's photographs are from the garden.   Top - Spear Thistle, Middle - Rose (with Greenfly), and Bottom = the Peony Rose fully open.   It has a pleasant and delicate fragrance. The heads are heavy, so I'll have to put in a bamboo cane to hold them up tomorrow.
