Light cloud .....
15th June 2026 (Monday) 10.15 .... Janice and Michael are away to St Andrews on the bus, and
I have been running round wi' the Hoover. It's a nice morning, but the cloud is hiding the dun a lot of the time; this means 'The Hutte' won't be as warm as I like it. However, the kettle is 'on' and I will have morning coffee out there; and do a Soduko.18.00 I didn't linger out in The Hutte very long; it was far too chilly. The sun never really got going because of a thin layer of cloud that filtered the heat out.
It must have been cold on the beach.
As you can see from the top photograph we have 'traffic control' at the Ferry Road/ Links Road junction. I didn't venture up to see what it was all about; the wind had freshened by this time ans it was, and still is, cold!
Janice and Michael arrived back from St Andrews a couple of hours ago, carrying a 'Fisher and Donaldson' bag! I wonder what is in that? Janice was say St Andrews was really cold because of the wind, and that the town has changed, with 'Closed' shops as we see in every town centre nowadays. However there is a lot of work going on around the town to smarten it up. 'The Open' (155th) is at St Andrews next year (July 2027)!
22.30 The Belgium v Egypt game from Seattle; I was surprised at the high standard of football played by the Egyptians. Having expected Belgium, the European team, to control the game it's good to see the Africa teams do so well! Cape Verde drew 0 - 0 with Spain earlier in the day! Cape Verde is a multiple island nation 300 miles off the West Coast of Africa. This is the first time Cape Verde has qualified for the final stages of for the World Cup!
I was out to bring in the 'bloo' bin this morning, when Claire (next door neighbour) said she would doit. She took it, with one hand, into the garden, did a sort of birl, all the time only one hand on the bin, and "lo and behold' the bin was 'iggzactly' in it's place. All I could say was "oh to be young again" with much admiration at her bin handling skill; and thinking "ye Gods, I am auld right enough"! "Thank You Claire"... it was much appreciated!
