Nice morning .....
30th June 2026 (Tuesday) 15.00 .... There's a heavy shower over Levenmouth Just now, and I am hoping it will come this way and do the needful to the flower tubs! When I think about.... hoping for that is naughty; the folks on holiday won't be wanting rain! Spots of rain are hitting the slabs now so I am a 'happy boy'; apologies to the folk on holiday. Anyway I only need a short, but heavy shower!
I've been at Levenmouth this morning. Methil to have a cuppa with Alice before going shopping. We went to Sainsbury's because we can get all the bits and pieces under the one roof. Roof?.... the Sainsbury's leaky roof problem has been fixed at long last. The barricades and strategically placed buckets that we had become used to seeing, were conspicuous by their absence!
!5.30 The rain shower did come our way, but, and I'm sorry about this; it didn't last long enough! I need another shower .... or even two showers!
21.00 I've had a lazy afternoon. It all began when I fell asleep immediately after I'd put the shopping away this afternoon. The 'plan' was to do the ironing before the football came on; but the ironing has still to be done; and I watched the football. The was the Nederlands v Ivory Coast game. Nederlands won 2 - 1.
Myra phoned yesterday evening to tell me the sad news; that our friend, and member of 'The Team' George (Harvey) had suddenly passed away, in the Beach Care Home, Leven. George was "weel liked, and weel kent" around the villages, and will be sadly missed, but never forgotten, by all of us.
It was only three of weeks or so, ago, that I said to Alice..."I'm getting rid the winter ailments at last,
and will be able to go to 'The Beach" (Care Home)! when you go to visit Marilyn, I'll visit George"! Then what did I do?... caught a summer cold! Which I have just got rid of! I gave it to Michael to take down to "Sunny Sussex"! Sadly, Alice will be visiting her friend Marilyn, on her own as usual.Today's photographs are of a Levenmouth Herring Gull family!..... three bairns and I think it's probably 'Paw'! Top - one of the 'bairns', Middle - the other two 'bairns'. Bottom - 'Paw'.
