Nice morning .....
8th June 2026 (Monday) 10.00 ..... It's a lovely, sunny morning here in KY9 .... a good drying
day| There is a chance of light showers, but I'm feeling positive. Not quite 'bright eyed and bushy tailed' yet but definitely more excitable than I have been lately. The 'plan' is to 'work' in short spells; this old age thing is a nuisance when it comes to working! Old age?.... me?.... No.... not yet! Anyway I'm going to hang out a washing, then do a Soduko in The Hutte. After all that, I'll be ready for morning coffee. When I think about it; I'm ready for morning coffee now!.... having been 'working' in the bathroom. Kettle 'on'!19.15 Today has me thinking Summer thoughts; it has been a really beautiful sunny, and warm, day in KY9. The 'light showers' showers missed us; all we had were some bonnie clouds. It was too hot for me 'working' in the afternoon so I went for run in the car; and ended up having a browse round aisles in the Store' (Anstruther). I bought a few ...er... 'vital necessities'; and food!. I'd bought most of what I needed yesterday in Leven; but some things are packaged to be irresistible! Tunnock's Caramel Wafers being one of them.
The Disabled spaces at the Store entrance were both occupied (one bloo badge) so I parked at the 'Disabled' space near the 'hole in the wall. That was a bit of luck, because I discovered that there's a bottle bank near there, and got rid of a bag of jars and bottles, that have been in the car boot for a couple of weeks. The car isn't making funny noises now: noise that had me wondering what the problem was!
I came home by way of the back roads and the Colinsburgh Straight; I wanted to see how the new drying 'shed' was progressing. There is nae place to park to I couldn't stop, but it looks like there East gable has Crow Steps! If this weather stays with us I'll get the bike out. I'll have to go "roond The Ferry" a few times first to see how the battery is. It was 'Full' a couple of weeks ago; so should be OK for a trial run.
22.30 I'm really tired tonight; right enough, I have been 'working': nothing like I used to be able to so, but I suppose I'm older and less able, though mt head doesn't know that! I'll just 'work' in the morning tomorrow and rest during the warm part of the day..... from midday to 16.00: then have a proper, Mediterranean type siesta.
