Cloudy ....

10th November 2024 (Remembrance Sunday)    08.00 .... We have another one of those

grey uninspiring kind of mornings ... in fact, not only is it cloudy, there's drizzle too, so a dull, and damp, start to Remembrance Sunday.  Because of the weather, I'll watch the National Service of Remembrance from the Cenotaph, instead of going to our local ceremony at the War Memorial.   The Fife Weather cams are all showing grey and misty... with no promising breaks in the sky .... so far.

19.30   The Troops are on their way home.   Emily, John and Henry set off to visit friends in Kirkcaldy about 10.30.   From where they would travel to Cumbria to stay a couple of nights with John's parents before travelling home to Somerset.   'JB' left for Edinburgh on the 17.53 X61 bus, to join the London overnight coach.   He arrives in London about the same time that I'll be getting ready to go to the Skeith Centre in Ainster.

This has been one of the most enjoyable (and lively) weekends I've had in a long time.  I am amazed at how much Henry  has changed in the las six months.  He's crawling all over the place;  noticing everything... and thinking all the time.   He will be walking and talking soon;  and intae everything!  Brilliant!   Henry will keep Mummy and Daddy on their toes that's for sure.

I'm going to get the Menthol crystals out to clear my stuffed up heid;  this spell of 'funny' weather has clagged up the nose and sinuses.  The first time I had stuffed up sinuses etc... and used Menthol crystals was during my first winter in Cyprus!   I'm going to have a hot shower first;  then sniff the crystals.

22.30   The Menthol crystals certainly did something to the tubes.... and they made my eyes water!   I'll do it again tomorrow after I get back from the Skeith Centre.
We are forecast to have sunny intervals with light winds tomorrow...a good drying day, so I have a shower towel washing to hang out before I go to Ainster.
It's now Horlicks time.... then into bed with my book.   I'm feeling confident about tomorrow;  and I might get out on the bike if it's a successful mission.
