Light cloud.....
6th November 2024 (Wednesday) 13.30 .... Sorry for being so late today. After breakfast I
decided that I had to go to Leven to do a 'JB' shopping; the 'Store' (Ainster) doesn't have the choice that the various Leven super markets have. I went into 'Flap On' mode and forgot to do The Hutte! Anyway, after a mug o' coffee, I set off for Colinsburgh Filling Station to feed the car, then on to Leven.I decided to go to Sainsbury's, because they have everything that the 'Emergency Ration' containers need, so the shopping didn't take long. Sainsbury's was busy but the checkouts (two) were going smoothly, and I was out at the car after 40 minutes. As I was leaving the car park; I was on my way to visit Alice.... I got round to thinking about 'car parks' all over the world. More about that later. At that time I was also thinking it was Tuesday. When I got to Alice's I suddenly remembered it was Wednesday, and that she'd be out. She was! From Methil I had a quiet journey home: moored the car up, and put the messages in their appropriate places, before having an early lunch.
16.30 The weather has been disappointing this afternoon; I'd hoped to have a wander to the beach but light drizzle has drifted our way so that was the end of the 'walk' plan. Tonight I'll have a birl on the pedal machine when watching 'Last f the Summer Wine'.
The two nearest houses are 'The Cross' and 'Beachmont'. |
20.30 I mentioned thinking about car parks all over the world, when leaving Sainsbury's car park this morning. Browsing the modern aerial shots of GHQ MELF, and seeing the changes since 1960, had me thinking that those changes had happened, not only at GHQ MELF, but all over the world. No wonder that pollution from motor vehicles is a problem. I was actually shocked when I saw car parks, and cars, dotted all round GHQ MELF.
I've just looked at the forecast for tomorrow and our weather is going to be more or less the same as
My favourite photo of Ferry Corner. |
