Lovely morrrrrrrrrrrrrning ....
27th November 2024 (Wednesday) 09.45 .... It's a lovely morning, with an even mix of clouds
and blue bits at the moment; and, there's a chilly breeze from the NW, but it's dry. I had great plans for today: a migraine wasn't one of them. However I've had a migraine... and taken the pills, so should be back on track in an hour or so.20.00 I had a nice walk up the Hight Street and then down onto the beach. I found a place where I could get onto the beach, then walked about 100 metres and found another place where left the beach. Many of the places have a drop of 18 inches or so, and I can't cope with that. Anyway O actually walked on the sand; the first time I have done that for a long time. It has been a lovely day for walking, and not that cold when I was out: in fact I sat on one of the seats for 10 minutes enjoying the warm sunshine. I'd been working on the computer and fancied some exercise.
Work is going on apace at 'Katherine Villa'; I couldn't see the workmen but I heard a lot of hammering going on. I took a few photos for the 'Alberto Archive. Actually 'Katherine Villa' was the only building site in Ferry Road with anything happening. That bit of road used to be 'Ferry Wynd' but appears to have changed it's name. Wynds are on the South side of The Ferry High Street.
The work I'm doing on the computer involves browsing photographs; and that is hard work. No, that's not right; it's not 'hard' work, but it is hard making up my mind on which photographs to use. Browsing is very interesting, but I tend to get diverted and forget that I'm supposed to be 'working! Still it's all very enjoyable.
The plan is to finish the 'browsing' this evening (I only need 13 photographs), and I'm going to have to be 'brave', and make my mind up which I shall use. I've already loaded over 100 into a Final Selection Folder, and will load a few more this evening. Then comes the hard bit!.... picking the final 13.. It's not easy being me!
The Ferry appeared quiet when I was out. I saw a few people on the beach but didn't meet anyone on the street.
22.30 'Shetland' was exciting tonight: it's a 'must watch' series now. There's a lack o' real Shetland
folk in it, but the story is good... and the scenery excellent when they are 'out and about'. The Police aren't of the Morse and Barnaby breed!.... but that's most likely because I'm ...er ... mature!I see that there's ice on the car roof so we have a chilly night ahead. And it's going to be another bonnie, but chilly, day tomorrow. There's only going to be a light breeze so I might go to the beach again.
