7th January 2021 (Thursday)      07.00 .... We’ve had sleet/rain showers

Clearing sky.

overnight and they are to be with us for most of the morning.    It’s not frosty but it is cold.... and frost might come with dawn.

The USA continues to have problems with ‘democracy’;   there would appear to be more than one rotten apple in the American democracy barrel.  Hopefully it will all be settled peacefully.

09.00   We have one dreich morning;  overcast with sleet/rain showers:   there’s snow all along the high ground, including the Balcarres Ridge and eastward to Kellie Law and beyond and the roads are  wet... though the pavements in Pittenweem and Anstruther were white.   The showers are supposed to move away by lunch time leaving us with sunny spells.... but it disnae look promising right now.

Peaceful afternoon.

With the weather being of the, what I call of the ‘retail therapy’ kind I decided to bumble along to ‘The Store’ to do a shopping first thing.  I didn’t intend going in if the shop looked busy.... but it wasn’t.    In fact, apart from workmen going in for their morning paper and goodies, there was only myself and another two ‘serious’ shoppers’ using a trolley.

11.00    Yes .... the sky is beginning to lighten and the Lochgelly webcam has some ‘bloo’ bits showing;   we should have a brighter afternoon.    Pity it will be short.    Tomorrow is going to be sunny ..... and cold.    It’s morning coffee time!

22.00    Everything is where it should be at the harbour..... I eventually went down there in the afternoon!    On the way home I stopped at the Toft to take a few photos, and met Mr ‘B’ (Steve) who was out for his afternoon exercise.    By this time the temperature was beginning to drop so we chatted for a wee while before going our separate ways;  Steve to the harbour.... me to Ivy and a hot cuppa.

There’s no ‘plan’ for tomorrow.... except that I won’t be going out on the bike.   It is

forecast to be cold all day with the temperature just above freezing;  but it should be sunny most of the time.   I’m orf to make my bedtime mug of  ‘orlicks.   I’m having some funny dreams just now;  kinda looking forward to seeing what I’m going to get tonight.

Thankfully the USA is quieter tonight;  that said they are only beginning the new day, but let’s hope it is calmer than yesterday was.
