Rain....

Ferry Road this morning
21st October 2026 (Wednesday)      10.00 .... We have a wet, and rather bleak looking morning; 
not a morning to be out.    The rain might peter out after lunch, to give us few sunny spells in the evening.  The brightest thing I've seen this morning was the glint in Blob's eye when I fed him!   He's a happy boy  is 'Blob'.   I was going to take a photo of him but he's gone all camera shy!

My 'plan' for today?    I might go to the Colinsburgh Friendship Lunch;  if the rain has moved away by then.   The sky doesn't look promising at the moment.   The Kinghorn and Lochgelly Fife Weather Cams show a slight brightening to the SW, so we could get lucky.

14.30    For the first time today, the sun is peeping through the clouds, so I'm thinking of taking the 'hurdy gurdy' for a walk.   The rain was at it's heaviest at 12.15 when I was getting ready to go to Colinsburgh, so that idea went back on the shelf.    

When I think about it, by the time of the next Friendship Lunch I will have the new 'hurdy gurdy', that will fit into the car boot, and should be able to walk further and faster.    Anyway I'm going to get the camera out, and have a short wander, probably the 'Rotten Row' walk.   Havin' said that, the dun has disappeared again;  however I think I'll risk it... even though the clouds look a bit 'iffy'.

20.00    Foe some reason Ferry Road has been busy with traffic today;  it could be workmen, because there is a lot of work being done around Elie and Earlsferry.    Earlsferry is near enough being rebuilt!

I had a short walk around Williamsburgh  on what turned out to be a nice afternoon.    Even then there was a lot of traffic about.   I've come to the conclusion that I must be  'auld'!... and finding it hard to cope with change.

I haven't made a 'plan' for tomorrow.   The weather is forecast  good;  "sunny intervals' with a moderate
westerly breeze", so i'll find something to do.    Actually I might go to 'The Store'  to top up for Iain coming.

7th May 2025 (Wednesday)    08.15 .... "Sunny intervals with a light breeze" is today's weather forecast for.... KY9, Ellon, Uckfield (Sussex) and London:  it's going to be a bonnie day all over the UK.  The breeze is from the Easterly direction so the East coast will be cooler; but it will be warm sheltered from the breeze.   It's a nice, peaceful kind of morning at Elie and Earlsferry:  the sky is a mix of fluffy clouds and blue bits, and the temperature is 11.6C just now.   3.3C was the minimum overnight.  20.30     I'd been reading about the cyber attack on M & S, Harrods and the Co-op... so, feeling inquisitive, for my morning 'mission' I decided to go to The Store (Ainster) and see how the 'attack' was affecting our local 'Store'.   The first thing I noticed was the car park wasn't as busy as normal and all the Disabled spaces were empty.  Inside the store,  the empty vegetable and fruit...

Dreich ....

1st November 2019 (Friday)       07.00 .... Mmmmm ... it’s cauld and wet Mmmmm .... not the perfect weather for the beach. as per weather forecast;   a real dreich morning.      I am feeling considerably brighter than the weather and looking forward to morning coffee in ‘arbour ‘ouse..... then spending the rest of the day mostly working on the computer, and doing Soduko’s.    I might bake Melting Moments..... baking and sampling 'MM's is always a cheering occupation on a dreich day. 09.00    The sky to the West is showing promising changes in greyness;   could we be in for a few bright spells?    “Light rain showers and a gentle breeze” is the forecast for today.... but a bright spell would be very welcome.    I haven’t been anywhere further than the pavement when manoeuvring the bucket into its ‘ready for emptying’ position.   I’ll have another cuppa then ‘loup’ into the car an...

Bright and breezy ....

12th June 2026 (Friday)     09.30 ..... It's a lovely morning... and a good drying day!     Michael and Janice will be getting ready to go to Uckfield Station.   Me? .... I had the best night's unbroken sleep in years last night:  I put the light out at 22.45 and woke up at 06.45!     And I had a long hot shower so I'm feeling rested, and  'playful'  this morning.    That said I have the car to 'worry' about;  however the garage will take care of that, and I should get it back in plenty of time to go for Janice and Michael.  Unfortunately I couldn't do the shopping I wanted to do!    That will have to be done tomorrow.     10.00    Apart from putting the downie inside it's cover, Michael and Janice have a bed to fall into tonight!   I'm going to celebrate that by having morning coffee! 11.30     The car is back at the gate.    I...
