Cloudy .... .....

3rd October 2026 (Saturday)     10.30 .... There's a layer of cloud just now, so there's a chilly feel
to the air this morning..   The sun should burn off the cloud, to give us a nice, sunny intervals, and warmer, Autumn day.    I'm going to have a a quiet day, doing little jobs around Ivy.    I'll have a walk up to the golf course,  once the  sun breaks through:  after morning coffee.  Blob was twittering happily from the top of the Lilac tree.    He's looking for a snack.

11.30    There's an Autumnal feel to the air this morning;  12.5 on the garden thermometer;  and, even the Hutte isn't warm enough to sit in.    The clouds keep obscuring the sun, so we haven't had a decent spell of sunshine, to warm up the air.   I'm going to have a late morning coffee;  and I might go for walk after that.... if it's warmer.

19.30    I ended up going for a short walk, to take a few photos for the Owlbert Archive (and the Hutte):  and only went as far as Ferry Corner.   It was quiet;  a single car went up Ferry High Street and that all the action I saw.

Bob came round just before lunch;   by this time The Hutte was warm, so we sat in there, and had a good old natter.    Bob was telling me that he can walk the beach to Boat Wynd, then up to Chapel Green, round to Sea Tangle road then home by way of  Sea Tangle road and the Ferry High Street.  I might be able to do that with the new Rollator.

Today's 'plan' was to have a non-working day, but I decided to do some 'ousework;  there was a  few bits and pieces to iron so I did that.  I must remember to put the shopping bags in the boot of the car before going shopping!    That's the plan for tomorrow:  Methil to annoy Alice, then some shopping.

It's time I put the kettle 'on'! .....  I need a cuppa. 

22.30    Visiting Alice, and a wee bit of shopping;  that is the 'plan' for tomorrow.    I'll also make a start to get 'JB's bed made up etc.   John ('JB') is coming up, from Sunny Sussex, on the 10th, for a holiday.   I'm sure we'll manage to fit in a trip to Cupar during the week!

7th May 2025 (Wednesday)    08.15 .... "Sunny intervals with a light breeze" is today's weather forecast for.... KY9, Ellon, Uckfield (Sussex) and London:  it's going to be a bonnie day all over the UK.  The breeze is from the Easterly direction so the East coast will be cooler; but it will be warm sheltered from the breeze.   It's a nice, peaceful kind of morning at Elie and Earlsferry:  the sky is a mix of fluffy clouds and blue bits, and the temperature is 11.6C just now.   3.3C was the minimum overnight.  20.30     I'd been reading about the cyber attack on M & S, Harrods and the Co-op... so, feeling inquisitive, for my morning 'mission' I decided to go to The Store (Ainster) and see how the 'attack' was affecting our local 'Store'.   The first thing I noticed was the car park wasn't as busy as normal and all the Disabled spaces were empty.  Inside the store,  the empty vegetable and fruit...

Dreich ....

1st November 2019 (Friday)       07.00 .... Mmmmm ... it’s cauld and wet Mmmmm .... not the perfect weather for the beach. as per weather forecast;   a real dreich morning.      I am feeling considerably brighter than the weather and looking forward to morning coffee in ‘arbour ‘ouse..... then spending the rest of the day mostly working on the computer, and doing Soduko’s.    I might bake Melting Moments..... baking and sampling 'MM's is always a cheering occupation on a dreich day. 09.00    The sky to the West is showing promising changes in greyness;   could we be in for a few bright spells?    “Light rain showers and a gentle breeze” is the forecast for today.... but a bright spell would be very welcome.    I haven’t been anywhere further than the pavement when manoeuvring the bucket into its ‘ready for emptying’ position.   I’ll have another cuppa then ‘loup’ into the car an...

Bright and breezy ....

12th June 2026 (Friday)     09.30 ..... It's a lovely morning... and a good drying day!     Michael and Janice will be getting ready to go to Uckfield Station.   Me? .... I had the best night's unbroken sleep in years last night:  I put the light out at 22.45 and woke up at 06.45!     And I had a long hot shower so I'm feeling rested, and  'playful'  this morning.    That said I have the car to 'worry' about;  however the garage will take care of that, and I should get it back in plenty of time to go for Janice and Michael.  Unfortunately I couldn't do the shopping I wanted to do!    That will have to be done tomorrow.     10.00    Apart from putting the downie inside it's cover, Michael and Janice have a bed to fall into tonight!   I'm going to celebrate that by having morning coffee! 11.30     The car is back at the gate.    I...
