Bright and breezy .....

25th October 2026 (Sunday).... 09.30 ..... 'Storm Boelo' gave us a wild (and wet) night;  however the rain
has moved away, and we now  have a 'windy (F8 - 9) and sunny intervals' morning.   Needless to say (but I'm going to 'say' it anyway) there is wind chill, so it's cold out in the open.

With the wind direction being Westerly there is a lot of sand on the move.   High tide is at 14.06, so a lot of the sand will end up on Fountain Road, South Street and the Breakwater area.   The wind should begin to moderate in the afternoon.;  though it will still be a frisky wind... and well capable of shifting more sand when the tide goes out.

11.30    I have the feeling that the wind has started to moderate;  there are slightly bigger gaps between the gusts;  and said gusts less fierce-some.  That said it is still 'stormy' out in the open.    The temperature is 11C on the patio.

The clocks have been changed!   I remember a few years ago, when I was getting up and going out on the bike early, I spent three days on 'Ivy Cottage Time'!    Time didn't man much in those days;  if it was daylight I went out and did things;  if it was dark I worked on ('played') with the photographs I'd taken during the day!
