Nice morning .....

29th September 2025 (Monday)     14.00 ....   'JB' arrived just after 09.00:  and we have been

Oyster Catchers and Redshank.
busy since then.   the first thing we did was catch up with the 'News' from down south' and First was had a cuppa while  catching  up with the 'down south'  news.   After thaat we went to 'The Store' to so a a shopping, something I wasn't able to do over the weekend because i didn't have the car.  The Store chill cabinets are all out of service so we didn't get  all the shopping I'd have liked;  but I'll go to Sainsbury's when I have the car.   I can't annoy Alice.... because she has the 'flu.   It could be the 'new COVID that's around just now.   Anyway Alice is out of bounds for a while.

The weather has turned cloudy over the past hour or so;  if I'm lucky I won't have to water the floo'er tubs this evening.

Curlew.
22.30   Being that I can't wander around on the beach very much now, I asked  'JB' to take the camera and get a few photos of what was going on there.    This is the bird  migrating season and John ('JB') got lucky;  finding all the usual migrating birds you'd expect at this time of year;  with a few of the less well known ones, including the Bar Tailed Godwit.

We have to go to Sainsbury's (Leven) tomorrow morning to get the kind of milk that 'JB' uses.   Because the Ainster Store chill cabinets were not working.

The weather is expected to be much like it was this morning ....'light cloud and a gentle breeze'.    'JB' will go down to the beach in the afternoon to see what's 'on the move'.   It's an interesting time of year with birds travelling to warmer climes.

On the way back from Leven we might drop in to the garage to find out what's appening with the car.

Bar Tailed Godwit.
It's good that 'JB's here with his car so that we can travel around.

When 'JB' is on the beach tomorrow afternoon I might take 'The Buggy' up to chapel Green.   There is a slight chance of light rain showers later in the afternoon.
