Nice morning ....

26th September 2025 (Friday)    15.15 .... Apologies for being late with 'The Hutte':  Iain and I

have (mostly Iain) have moved the computer station through to the other bedroom.    That has been done;  now I have to get used to the change.

In the morning we went to Anstruther to the Skeith Centre, then onto 'The Store'. ... so we have been busy.  Anyway Iain has got everything done that he wanted done.   He goes back home to Auchnagatt tomorrow morning.

The weather has changed since the morning;  it's cloudy and and colder.

19.15    The car needs something done to it, so I should get it back on Monday.   Iain has been busy working with his new camera;  hes got brilliant photies of a spider  (rare) yesterday, and went round looking for more.

In the afternoon decided to make Eve's Pudding (using up some of the Ivy Cottage apples).     They are quite tasty this year, slightly bitter, but definitely edible straight from the tree.   However they also make good Eve's Pudding .... and Apple Crumble.   I misread the 'rools' and peeled apples until I had one and a half pounds of thinly sliced apples:   I should have weighted the one and half pounds of  apples first .... then cored and peeled them.   The finished pudding tasted fine with a dollop of ice cream on top.

We watched Netanyahu speak to the UN General Assembly.    His speech was, quite frankly.... pathetic.  A whole heap of delegates walked out just just as he began to speak.   They didn't miss anything.   He could have done something to bolster Israel's standing in the World;  he certainly didn't do that.   I feel really sorry for Israeli's that yearn for peace, and a life where they live in harmony with their neighbours.    That will happen one day;  after terrorism, such as the the evil of October 7th 2023;  and the killing of innocent civilians, including  bairns and women, that goes on today in Gaza, has been consigned to history.   It's going to take brave and clever politicians to bring the Peace, (that everyone longs for) in the Middle East.

22.30    I've been reading about the huge increase in the rat population of the UK, (and presumably all over the World), and wonder if the human population of the world, which has also  has also massively increased, has anything to do with the increasing number of rats.    I remember, many tears ago, seeing a cornered rat with it's lips curled back;  that is the most fearsome sights I have ever seen.
