Nice morning ....
23rd September 2025 (Tuesday) 08.45 .... It's a peaceful kind of morning; sunny with light
winds, and a chilly air. A bonnie Autumn morning. I'm going to Methil to visit Alice and Leven to do some shopping. The early morning air is chilly but it should be warm in the afternoon. At the moment the breeze is from the SW but its backing to the SE in the afternoon.19.00 Because we've had very little rain recently, I've had to water the floo'er tubs; some overnight rain every second night would be ideal. Anyway, the tubs have been watered; and the kettle is 'on'. It was either water the tubs or go for a run in the car to take a few photies; the tubs won.
It has been a lovely sunny day... and warm. Warmer than I expected when I put on a heavier jersey this morning. It was so warm in the Wellesley Community Centre that I had to take it off!
At Alice's we were having a cuppa when Sandy and Teresa dropped in on their way to Culross; m so we had an interesting time chatting, before they went off to Culross and we went to Sainsbury's.
21.30 The car goes in for an MOT on Thursday; I'd better tidy it up a bit tomorrow; that's the mission for tomorrow morning! Iain's coming down later tomorrow afternoon and we take the car to Mercury Motors first thing on Thursday morning. I'll be in 'Flap On' mode.
Today's photos are from the Alberto Archive. Although I had the camera with me today I didn't take any photographs. I couldn't believe it when driving into Leven this morning; temporary traffic lights on Largo Road again. That road has had some work done on it over the past few years.
When I got back from Alice's, and put the messages away, I sat down to watch the News. President
Trump spoke soon after the UN Secretary General (Antonio Guterres). It was embarrassing watching the 'Leader of the Western World' speaking to the UN General Assembly. He, President Trump, talked in his usual 'Oval Office' self praising MAGA manner; not what the General Assembly expected. And not what most of the people of the World wanted to hear. We live in worrying times.
