Lovely morrrrrrrrning ....
2nd September 2025 (Tuesday) 08.00 .... We have a nice fresh morning, slightly chillier than
of late; a nice autumnal feeling air. This fresh air has me feeling 'brighter eyed and bushier tailed' .... almost playful in fact. The washing has been hung out, and I've had breakfast. Ian is coming for me fairly soon; I think he wants to do the East Neuk harbours today. Must remember to take a warm jacket. 'Slight Flap On'; cuppa required!
17.45 Ian and I went to St Minnins, Pittenweem, and Anstruther harbours this morning: we just had a birl roond St Minnins and Pittenweem; and moored up in Anstruther, and had a short walk along 'The Folly', before having coffee and a goodie in the Fisheries Museum. The coffee (and goodie) was followed by a short walk to Anstruther Fish Bar for a 'fish supper' lunch .... some of which we had on 'The Folly'. It was surprisingly warm sitting outside. We then made our way back to The Stables (where Ian is staying), had some more of our fish and chips, and a cuppa. I kept some chips for 'dinner' ; which I am going to have after this update.
21.00 This has been another busy and enjoyable day; that said I was really
I've parked the car on Ferry Road tonight; for two reasons: 1. there's been no action whatsoever (apart from the skip being taken away) so far on Ferry Toad re 'digging' lumps out of it and .... 2. Rain is forecast and I don't want to get wet if I need the car.
What have I 'planned' for tomorrow? Not much outside if it's wet, so I'll catch up with some 'ousework .... and make mince n' tautties.... and freeze some as 'Cottage Pies'. I also have computer work to do; yes I'll have a restful day tomorrow. Ian is going off to tour round some of the Highlands on Thursday, eventually making his way back to Heathrow to catch his flight to Singapore, where he intends spending a couple of days, before travelling home to Australia.
I'll miss Ian; he is interesting, always 'on the go'.... and enjoys meeting people. Ian was tired this
afternoon too, so he's having a rest day tomorrow! I'll wander along on Thursday morning to say "Cheerio", before he sets off for midgie territory. I don't think midgies bother him. Any time Maggie and I were up in the Highlands the midgies feasted on me; they never bothered Maggie at all.
