Seventh anniversary of Maggie's death .....

18th August 2016 (Thursday) .... 09.00    Seven years ago, on this date, Maggie died .... although she is no longer physically here, thankfully, she is still ‘around’, in my head .... keeping me right.    Once again I have a big “Thank You” to my family, and all my friends;   without ‘You’ the bereavement journey would have been so much harder.    I am enjoying being ‘me’ again, .... in fact, this morning I’m

feeling quite frisky.... though I admit that being ‘me’ can sometimes be hard work.    Where has the time gone?

I’ll have morning coffee up on the Boss’s seat later in the morning .... after the sun gets going.    I was up there earlier fixing a rosebud on the seat, but the weather was dull at that time;  hence the later coffee break.

22.30   It looks like the first four days of this week was summer for this year;   which is about three days longer than last summer was!   I went out for a walk in the evening and the temperature had dropped .... probably because the wind is considerably stronger than it was earlier:  and the weather forecast is for rain to move in tomorrow.   Yep ... it’s autumn.

This morning I de-frosted the freezer;   I hadn’t closed the door properly, so it was partially de-frosted anyway..... and was fully de-frosted after I hit it with Maggie’s hairdryer:    I always knew I’d find a use for the hair dryer!   Luckily there wasn’t

much foodstuff in it:   what was in it I took along to the landfill skip at Pittenweem.    Having washed the freezer out etc. I made a flask of Lemon tea for Jimmy, and a flask of coffee for me, and went up to The Boss’s seat for our morning cuppa.      The sun was beginning to break through the cloud so it was pleasantly warm.    We walked round to “Alice’s Seat”.... this completed Jimmy’s exercise target for the day.   From Chapel Green we went down to the Sailing Club for a light lunch and another cuppa.
By the time I’d biked back to Ivy, the Hutte was attracting my attention;   I sat down, contemplated reading the paper, then fell fast asleep.    I must have been tired because 50 minutes had passed by the time I woke up.    Feeling much refreshed I decided to go to Sainsbury’s to get some frozen food.   I was so invigorated after my earlier siesta that I fell ‘in love’ with the check-out lassie.  She did say she felt this might be her

‘lucky day’, when she woke up this morning!
Well I’m a tired ‘bunny’ tonight, and will be glad to get orf to bed.    Having done the shopping today, I don’t have a plan for tomorrow, but I’m sure that something attract my attention.
