Another 'warm and sunny' morning ....
17th
August 2016 (Wednesday)
.... 08.30 We have yet another ‘warm
and sunny’ morning ... and the forecast is good for the remainder of the
day. There
was more mist around
earlier, and enough of a breeze to ripple the water... so no reflections this
morning. I’m going along to pick up ‘M’
in a wee while.... I’m thinking we’ll start with a cuppa at the ‘Cheese Place’,
where we can come up with a plan for the rest of the day. ‘M’ goes back home in just under three
weeks; it has been a quick three
months.

21.30 Today I took ‘M’ to a place she has never
been before.... Lower Methil! We went to visit the Methil Heritage Centre,
where we had a cuppa, and a chat with the local volunteers, before having a wander
round the very interesting Archaeology
Exhibition that is ‘on’ at present. ‘M’ was impressed, we both were; Methil Heritage Centre is a small but very active
place, with friendly, and informative,
volunteer Staff. They change their
exhibitions on a regular basis; and
make a great cuppa. From here we went
on to Buckhaven where I took some photos of ‘M’ with the giant wind turbine in
the background.

Our
next stop was at Dysart Harbour, for lunch at the Harbour Master’s House, followed
by a walk round one of my favourite harbours. Then we met “Christine” ... a lady from
the Templehall area of Kirkcaldy who was down at Dysart for a quiet break; until she met us. We had a nice chat about the merits of being
‘us three’, pottering around enjoying the bonnie day, in a bonnie spot. It was uplifting talking to “Christine” ....
she would fit into our
‘local girls’ Coffee Morning team nicely.... friendly and
chatty.

The
other day I bought nine Victoria plums:
‘M’ ate one of them and ‘the boy’ the remainder. Oh my word .... I do not want to hear the
words “Victoria”, nor “Plums” (in any order) again. “Puku” is a very empty puku, after the ‘naughty’
... “unmentionable things” ... passed through, and cleaned out, my whole digestive
system.
Tomorrow
is forecast to be ‘warm and sunny’ though it may well be mistier early; four days of lovely weather in succession
.... this is the best summer we’ve had in years!
