April 2016 (Saturday) ......
“St George’s Day” I wish all my friends in “Bonnie
England” a lovely, and happy day. Unfortunately I don’t have a St George’s
Cross flag but I’m flying the Union Flag.... on what is a bonnie morning

here
in “Bonnie Scotland”. We have ‘bright and sunny’, with a light Northerly wind, a good day for
the boats being ‘craned in’, but it is cool.
I’m going to get the bike after breakfast, and go for a ‘run’ somewhere .... it’s that kind
of morning. Have a happy day whatever
you are doing. Must ‘go’ “slight flap
on”... I feel in the mood for some ‘biking’, and “Puku” is hungry!
17.00 A cold Northwest wind , and a couple of
light showers in the afternoon, took the ‘edge off, what has been a nice enough
day; it was really warm behind glass...
such as in, the Sailing Club or the
Hutte! I only went as far as the
harbour on the bike; opting instead to
go up to Shell Bay woods with Jim, and “SD”, where it was warmer, and more
pleasurable, walking in the shelter of the trees in the morning. We then met Myra and went to Harbour House
for coffee and ginger bread.
On
leaving Harbour House I went down to the Sailing Club, to meet Jimmy, and watch
the ‘crane in’ proceeding from the warm club room. I went out to take a few photos

of said
proceedings and met John; Linda chose
to stay ‘inside’ and therefore warm, over at Shell Bay (now Elie) Caravan
Park... whilst John and I discussed, ‘stood staunin’ frozen, on the Viewpoint
Hill at Elie Harbour, how lucky girls are, in being able to make decisions re
staying ‘in’, and therefore out of, the cold wind. The aforementioned wind was ‘bracing’ to
say the least, though we were both well enough wrapped up against it ... the
wind! John has retired now, thus
giving Linda the chance to ‘spoil’ him full time.... and they can now spend
more time over here at the Centre of The Universe.... with John taking photos
on his new Nikon camera. He will be able to use Linda as a ‘model’ in
the foreground of his local landscape photos!
I wonder if John had his camera with him this morning?: ‘Crane in’ was going on apace, albeit at a
slow pace, as we chatted, though he didn’t have it, the Nikon, ‘on him’, it may have been in the car. I had to take my photos from the ‘hill’ as
all the hard hats (compulsory within the ‘crane in’ area’) were on other heads.
21.00 It is still cold down on the beach, but the
wind has dropped and the sky is fairly

bright towards the Northwest. I think the weather forecast for tomorrow
is much the same as we had today, ‘bright, and windy with the threat of April showers’
later. I will get ‘up’ early and
contemplate going out on the bike.... but only if the weather is suitable: I’m thinking of going up to Balcarres.
