Nice morning ....

30th August 2025 (Saturday)     08.00 .... We have a lovely morning;  clouds, with sunny

intervals and a fresh SW breeze.   Heavy rain is forecast for later in the afternoon, but right now it's a lovely (cooler than it has been for the past few weeks) morning, and some of the clouds look like they could produce a light shower .... but light showers aren't mentioned in the forecast.

15.45    I enjoyed my trip to Methil to 'annoy' Alice;  then, after a cuppa, we went to Sainsbury's (Leven) to do some shopping.  The shop was busy, (as were the roads);  then Alice reminded me that it was Saturday.  For some reason I had been thinking "Sunday".

I didn't linger long at Alice's today because of the expected DPD delivery.   Actually, I was back home by 13.40 and DPD hadn't been.   I put the messages away, made a cuppa, then fell asleep in front of the tele.... for almost an hour.  DPD hasn't been yet so I'm on 'alert' mode.   In fact I'll put in the hearing aids so that I hear the doorbell:  that's me really being alert!

The rain started just after 15.00, it's supposed to be heavy but at the moment it's gentle.   No matter, it's doing what I want it to do!   Unfortunately I didn't take any photographs before the rain came,  however it might not last, and I could have a short walk in the evening.   Failing today's photies will be from 'The Alberto Archive'.

22.00    I've had a busy day;  even enjoyed the shopping.   The weather was a bit iffy in the evening, and the DPD man didn't turn up, but I've enjoyed myself.   The sky is starting to break up and blue bits appear so tomorrow will be a sunnier ... and drier.   I am really tired now and ready for the 'orlicks.

Alice tells me that DPD deliver on Sunday's so I'll stay around Ivy.    Might even detach a few weeds from Mother Earth and put them intae the 'broon' bucket.

I took two photies today;  one looking up Ferry Road in the rain, and the other one looking down.
