Bright and breezy ....

31st August 2025 (Sunday)     09.00 .... The rain has moved away and we a lovely, bright and

breezy,  morning, and cooler than it has been for the past few weeks;  a lovely morning for going 'out and about'.  I fancy having a short hirple round the Woodland Walk (Balcarres) in the afternoon.    Right now I need an 'early morning' coffee.

10.15   I've been doing stuff (and haven't had my 'early morning' coffee yet):  anyway, I just remembered that I am waiting for a DPD delivery today:  and I've found out that the parcel is on it's way to the Dundee Depot.   We have a'happy boy' at Ivy Cottage.   Orf to have that 'early morning' coffee at last.   Oh ... the Balcarres trip has been postponed until .... 'sometime'.   I'll get update(s) on the mobile phone, so I might have an idea when it (the DPD van is going to be in the area.   Finally .... I'm going to have the coffee;  and maybe even a 'goodie'.

12.30    I've had, and enjoyed the morning coffee;  and chatting to the bloke putting up the notices re Parking Restrictions while the work is going on upgrading the electricity supply.   From the notices that have been put in place, and the 'No Parking' cones it looks like Ferry Road  is not part of the actual 'closure, although 'No Parking' notices are  on Ferry Road.   According to the map Cross Wynd is going to be closed totally, with parking restrictions on the High Street.  Exciting morning .   Oh... and the work is starting 'the morra'.

22.00   In the early evening I took The Buggy out ;  it could be the last I get it out for three weeks if  Ferry Road is being dug up again.   It was a lovely evening so I went up to Chapel Green;  quite a few  folk were out enjoying the evening sunshine.  Actually, although breezy it was pleasantly warm;  there was a bonnie 'light' about so the camera was well used.

I was keeping my eye on the weather because there were showers around.... and a rainbow.   Eventually
I set off home, stopping a few times en route to get more evening photies.   I arrived back at Ivy, and got 'The Buggy' ensconced in it's nest, just before the edge of the shower I'd been keeping my eye on arrived.    The rain only lasted a few minutes.

I must remember to move the car tomorrow morning, just in case  the Traffic Wardens's do appear and bung a ticket on it.   As you can see from the photograph there's No Parking in the 'Disabled' space at the Toon Hall.  That's where I normally go.
