Bright and sunny ....

9th 7th June 2022 (Tuesday)   08.00 ....We had a ‘bright and sunny start to the


morning but the sky is beginning to cloud over;  it looks like the rest of the day will be ‘light cloud with good sunny intervals’.    There’s only a light breeze (from the East) so it’s warm... was warm in the sun.  I might go out on the bike in the afternoon....it depends on how much the wind freshens.

10.30    I know that time is passing swiftly... but not as swiftly as the Hutte date was this morning;  I think that might have been 'Planet Owlbert' time..  

 I have been to ‘The Store’(shopping);  my word prices are noticeably rising .... so;  nae ‘goodies’ from now on.... only essentials.   The roads were busy.... even the ‘back road’ via Kellie was busy.   I didn’t enjoy the drive.

I’m going to have morrrrrrrrning coffee then do some gardening;  I have a feeling that the afternoon might be of the ‘stay in’ kind;  so any biking will be in the late afternoon / evening.


20.30   The bike hasn’t been out for three days and it won’t be out this evening;  it’s a bonnie evening, but the wind off the sea is bitterly cold.   However I have been working in the garden.   There’s a bush I want to get rid of (and plant a flower in its place) so I’ve been cutting that back;  in between breaks in The Hutte.

I haven’t taken one photograph today (so far);  this has to be some kind o’ record.   I’m thinkin’ o’ takin’ a run round the villages in the car;  I won’t be able to sleep if I don’t take a few photos of ‘today’.  

 22.00    I had a run out in the car (too cauld for the bike) and managed to get a few


photos so I’m a happy boy.   The wind has moderated so it isn’t as cold as it was earlier in the evening;  that said, it isn’t warm.   I’ve enjoyed myself today but it’s frustrating not being able to do the things I want to do.   One good thing I have noticed over the past couple of days;  I’m not using the bloo inhaler as much.... almost back to pre virus usage in fact.... so that’s a good sign.

We’re down for ‘light rain and a moderate breeze’ tomorrow so it looks like it might be a computer day.... a rest day.

6th October 2024 (Sunday)    "Happy Golden Wedding Anniversary"  to Brian and Moira". 09.00 .... All the Fife Weather cams are showing overcast skies.   The Anstruther cam looks the bleakest!..... the Lochgelly the least bleak.  The Easterly breeze has brought the weather in from the North Sea.... and  'sunny spells' are not mentioned in the weather forecast, but ... sometimes the sky looks promising!   It's a good day to be inside.  Luckily I, (and all the other guests), are celebrating Brian and Moira's Golden Wedding Anniversary in the Lindsay Room at Kinneuchar Castle. 10.30     It's still raining, but the sky looks promising now and again;  the sun might break though in the afternoon.  I had a walk round the patio in the light rain; very refreshing.    I'm having morrrrrrrrrrrning coffee before I start to get organised for Kinneuchar Castle. 20.30    We had a really pleasant family and friends gathering to celebrate Brian and Moira's Gol

Nice morning ....

16th August 2024 (Friday)  08.30 ...It's a lovely morning but a layer of thin cloud is taking the Jackie. edge off the temperature so we have a chilly start to the day;  hopefully the sun will burn off the cloud to give us a sunny and warm(er) day soon.    The Auchnagatt 'troops' are expected to arrive about 10.30:  and I am organised .... and looking forward to seeing Jackie, Hazel, Catriona and Iain in one photograph.... a rare occurrence nowadays!  20.30 .... I got the photograph that I wanted... all four (soon to be five) of the Lawrie Family of 'Backhill of Inkhorn' (Auchnagatt) in one place!   It has been a most enjoyable day.  We had lunch at the very popular Cupar Garden Centre Restaurant (it was busy) followed by a browse round the garden centre:  the 'troops' did proper browsing:  I had quick browse followed by a catnap in the car.   The middle of the afternoon is my siesta time; and especially so after a good lunch!   And it was a really good lun

Cold and overcast ....

18th April 2024 (Thursday)    08.00 .... The Fife Weather cams are all showing an overcast sky:  rain hasn't reached Fife so far, but is expected to arrive by mid morrrrrrrning...."light rain and a fresh Westerly breeze" being the forecast until later in the afternoon;  but we're going to end the day with a bonnie evening.  Hmmmmm .... I don't think I'll be painting any bits of the shed today; and that was my project to take my mind off the car.   Computer stuff it will have to be:  I'm actually in a writing mood so this might not be a wasted day. 09.00   Forget the heap oops... car (it's in the 'bad car' corner);  I'm excited because the workmen are here to begin work on the patio. They arrived a wee while ago;  unfortunately spits and spots o' rain arrived at the same time and, if  the rain is heavy and prolonged they won't be able to do much.   Showers are OK but not prolonged rain.  Must 'go' got to have another cuppa
