Excited as a 'bag o' ferrets' .....

30th August 2017 (Wednesday).... 09.00   Oh my word .... I’m as excited as a ‘bag o’ ferrets’... which is probably caused by the fact that we have a ‘bright and

breezy’ morning... and a cool one;   I had to wear gloves when out on the bike this morning.    It is a nice ‘fresh’ start to the day, which has rubbed orf onto me.

We have the Colinsburgh Lite Lunch today... I’ll be able to catch up ,with all the news from my Colinsburgh ‘girlfriends’.... and the boys.    Right now I’m going to have a walk over the golf course then round Chapel Green.

21.30    I never did walk over the golf course... don’t even remember what diverted me.    Oh ... I do remember . ..... I went down to the beach and nearly fell asleep sitting on “Nana’s seat”;   the sun was up, it was warm, and  peaceful.... by the time I surfaced Jimmy was waiting outside Ivy.

“Blob” is back;  he tends to be shy when he’s moulting, and ‘disappears’ for a few weeks.    This morning I was sorting the bird feeders, in the Hutte, when he came in

wearing the “I’m here and I’m hungry” look.   This will be him getting ready for winter.    I’ll get a few pictures of him when he is completely through the moult.
The ‘Colinsburgh Lite lunch’, was, as ever, excellent....  I chose the courgette soup... oh my word it was scrumptious.... as was the rhubarb crumble, so I only had a sandwich for my evening meal;   I’m waging war on ‘Puku’.    The Colinsburgh Girls have had a good summer, but they didn’t have any goss .... er information to impart... apparently “there’s nothing happening in Colinsburgh”... even ‘William T’ had ‘nothing to report’.

Jimmy was short of foodstuffs, so we went along to Leven, after the ‘Lunch’, to
The Bass Rock.
replenish his diminishing stock of ready meals.    I will go along to Sainsbury’s tomorrow morning to top up with some bits and pieces ... and have a latte in the Cafe.    To make up for my rather idle lifestyle today, I biked up to Chapel green in the evening and had a coffee with ‘The Boss’.

The weather forecast is good for tomorrow... though there could be showers in the afternoon.   The ‘Drop in Cafe’ re-opens tomorrow, after the summer break;   I’m looking forward to catching up with everyone’s news.
