Feeling frolicsome ....

7th July 2017 (Friday) .... 09.00    Hmmmmm .... it’s overcast, with a frisky, south westerly breezy;  and the sun could break through later .... this looks like being a
Elie Bay this evening.
good ‘drying’ day .... I’m going to do a washing.

So .... I switch on the washing machine .... and it starts to rain!     It looks like it’s only a shower;   I’m hoping it’s only a shower.   Must ‘go’ ... ‘slight flap on’ .... the kettle will be boiling.

22.00    The above mentioned rain never came to much, and my washing is dry ... and ironed.    I’ve had a quiet day around Ivy.... in the garden, and watching ‘le Tour’ in between times.     I’ve still got a chesty cough .... the remnants of the cold I had so I’m making a determined effort to stay warm;  if this means weeding the garden so be it.    Most of Ivy garden is sheltered from all wind directions.   Having said that .... it’s the East wind that I have to bother

about, and the wind today was from the Southwest.
Once again the ‘day’ is ended with a bonnie evening,.... but not as quite balmy as it was yesterday.    Of course I had to go down to the beach.... the first time I’ve been ‘out’ today .... and I really enjoyed it.    The villages are busy, as was the beach:   it’s good to see it being used.... and by people of all ages.

We’ve had a ‘funny’ boat moored up in the Firth for the past few days ....it’s a heavy lift vessel (“Albatross” is its name).     The other day the tugs brought in jack up oil rig which has been loaded onto “Albatross” ready to be transported to ‘wherever’.    I am now keeping an ‘eye’ on “Albatross” ‘cos I want to get a photo of ‘her’ leaving the Firth.

HMS Queen Elizabeth has been moored up in the Cromarty Firth for a few days, and
Elie.
should be there for another few;   her ‘sea trial’ schedule includes a week in the Cromarty Firth.     I don’t know if anyone got a photo of both “Queen Elizabeth’s” together, but they must have been fairly close to each other this morning when “Queen Elizabeth”, the cruise ship, left Invergordon on her way to Kirkwall.
Tomorrow is forecast to be ‘bright and breezy’... almost like summer.   My ‘plan’ is to get ‘up and out’ on the bike early, before any wind gets up.
