bright; the weather forecast is for the

greyness to
break up, giving us sunny spells by mid afternoon....which is when I’ll go out
for a daunder. In the meantime I’ll
catch up with my e-mails etc.
23.00 Oh my word I have had a ‘lazy’ day; all I have done is bake scones, make a syrup
steam pudding, and watch the “Six Nations Rugby”. The
scones turned out tasty but skinny; they’re
skinny because I increased the diameter, but not the depth. Next time I’m going to do them New Zealand
style; a dollop straight onto the tray
.... nae fancy cutting rings for the Kiwi’s... and most of their scones are of
the savoury kind!

The
rugby was good .... especially the Scotland v Ireland game! ... which Scotland won 27 – 22,.... Greg Laidlaw taking, and scoring from a penalty
with the last kick of the game,... that said it was a close, and exciting match
with lots of good rugby. We then watched
the England v France game which England won 19 – 16. This was a scrappy game with not much in
the way of flowing rugby; however
England did deserve to win.
We
ended up with a bonnie afternoon, with long spells of sunshine, though it is

colder according to Michael who had been out to the ‘bucket’ with bare feet.
Our weather for tomorrow is forecast to be mostly cloudy but dry, with
sunny spells. I must get out in the
morning for some exercise; we’re going
out for lunch! “Puku” is enjoying
this ‘holiday’: all this will change
soon; he will be restored to his normal,
sylph(?) like self, when I get back to the Centre of the Universe! The “Puku” restoration project may take a
little time!
