... 08.30 Hmmmm ... not much in the
way of sunshine this morning; it’s
overcast and bleak looking, but not cold.... at least

not as cold as we’d
expect at this time of year. I’m going to take the ‘95’ bus to Anstruther
this morning, got to go to the Post office:
if the weather was brighter I’d go all the way round to St Andrews, but
I’ll do that in Spring.
21.00 The trip to Anstruther this morning turned
out to be surprisingly pleasurable: I
met some of the lady’s that used to work at the Craw’s Nest, and we had a braw
blether over a cup of coffee. Unbelievably,
we were sitting outside at the pavement tables; this tells you how unseasonable the
temperature was. It wasn’t warm, but we
were wrapped up, and sheltered from what light breeze there was, so it didn’t
feel cauld... as it might well have been. It was great to catch up with all the ex Craw’s
Nest news. Talking .. well writing
about the Craw’s reminds me, that I am not

too impressed with the new building
that’s taking the place of the Craw’s:
Okay, there is scaffolding all around the new build but the building is
higher than I expected it to be; kind of
reminiscent of Aldershot barracks in some ways. It should look better once the scaffold
comes orf, but the ‘auld place’ had character about it, while this new build
does not. I daresay that the individual
‘units’ will be comfortable, but they won’t be ‘East Neuk’.
We
had our usual braw natter, and cuppa, at the Drop in Cafe this afternoon; and there was a variety of tasty nibbles,
including Myra’s Birthday cake. Jim and
Myra arrived back this afternoon, from a ‘birthday holiday, in Ireland ... I
think it was the north. As per usual
Jimmy and I went down to the harbour after the ‘cafe’, .... this happened to
coincide with

sunset, which was bonnie, but not of the ‘stunning’ variety.
Ian
is coming down tomorrow ... he’s working at Edinburgh over the weekend. I have a good stock of food ‘in’, as in
proper food; but I’ll need to get some
chocolate biscuits to ‘nibble’ when working.
